Savior For Hire

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:53 am by Broken & Brave

God is for hire.
On his resume it should say:

“Specializes in high stress and difficult situations. He is an out of the box thinker, able to design any number of strategies for any given situation. The bigger the set back the greater His comeback. He can handle anything and is willing to work hard for you. In fact, He sees your problem or dilemma as His own. He just wants to be needed and employed.”

Despite His credentials He often times goes unemployed. Please consider hiring Him for all your needs! -Nicole

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.”

Heart Monitor

When you have a large family your life is go, go, go. Even on a slow day it is comparable to a medium to a heavy day for a small family. Only people with large families understand this because of experience. But over the weekend I had incredible opportunity to rest despite my full work schedule. In my down time I watched a movie I hadn’t seen in years (but love)…”The Ultimate Gift”. I have always found tremendous similarities between the main character in this movie and my own life. As God taught me immeasurable lessons in many areas He broke it down…how to live a Victorious Life is most fruitful via a Broken Life.

Broken Hearted people are everywhere. They are easy to spot for they do a lot of bleeding that doesn’t resemble blood. My heart pounds for these people with Compassion and God’s Healing Touch. Then there are the broken who have healed but the healing wasn’t complete and left their heart closed up, crooked and deeply scared. When God heals the scar is seem-less though present. When the world heals it leaves much scar tissue that hinders function. I have an eye to spot them all.

How is your heart?

He carried His Cross so we could bear ours…Victoriously.
You should never have any doubts about your ability. God hand designed and picked you and your purpose. Abundant Reason! He is still Risen, even the day after Easter. You are HIS Ultimate Gift and He has Bountiful Treasure for you. ~Nicole

Devotion: King of Hearts

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:52 am by Broken & Brave

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5

Only God can make a Broken Arrow fly high and far…that’s what you are. You see, He spilled his own blood at Calvary-the hill of humility-so you and I could be reconciled to Him. There was a gap between sinful man and God. So he sent us a Holy Son to conquer and give us victory to overcome.

Have you ever had a broken relationship? When people fall out one to another God’s heart breaks. He came so we could all live in harmony. Don’t lose hope in a spouse, parent, child, friend, neighbor or coworker who you have a fractured relationship with. God can mend it and create a bond of unity greater than before. He alone can open every door of our heart, clear out the clutter inside and create beautiful spaces for His Spirit to live inside. He came for Reconciliation. Believe! ~Nicole

Prayer of Devotion

Posted in Uncategorized at 5:56 am by Broken & Brave

Oh How He Loves Us~

When God’s heart gets mingled with ours, like a tangled thread, we begin to believe everything He said and in the Power of Crimson Red…

Allow the fragrance of worship, through the action of prayer, be a pleasing aroma to your soul. May it edify you head to toe. May it fill the void and illuminate every shadowy space in your heart. May it fill you to overflowing with His Heavenly Aroma and Light. Then your heart can smile from within. He is a most faithful friend. Believe it, then receive it. God’s got your back all day everyday. ~Nicole

Bright City Light

Time is like money and money is like time…

Be a careful user of each. For if either is wasted nothing is gained. So, do not waste time. Cut and paste the content of the Bible in our hearts and lives.

He is the Light of the world and in Him there is no darkness. He didn’t come to condemn the world, but to love it. He can do things to extend your time, from day to day, and to the end of your days. We can love Him back by given Him our time. We can share our talents and offer a good offering of Faith. He is with you in your race. He can bless everything you put your hand to, relationships or business.

Don’t put it off-do not run out of time. God doesn’t make a habit of waiting in line, but He will always make time for you. He is faithful to see you through and bless you. He has always had confidence in you. After all- He made you! ~Nicole

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deedsand glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

Broken Arrows Can Fly

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

A deep love for God is received by His Grace, but as we show our love back to Him we follow Him where ever He leads. If it be through treacherous terrains, sleet, storms, tornadoes, or a scorching dessert sun…this is the road less travelled that leads to His Treasures of Heart. It doesn’t matter how it “looks”, we merely “Go”.

Moses, with his back against the Red Sea was on the road less travelled and he was delivered Triumphantly.

David had to hide in a cave to preserve his name, but not a stitch on the hem of his gown was prevented from bringing him a crown.

Esther presented herself before a King, knowing full well she may surely perish…but she didn’t.

And God Himself wrapped up in Love for you that ran so deep, He crawled through a Cross to be near to you. But his soul the grave couldn’t keep.

That’s the kind of thing True Love will do. ~Nicole

Elevation Unknown

The Higher Call To Love

When you reach higher ground you find yourself above the clouds under an open Heaven. In this space the clouds and storms of life are beneath you and cannot touch you.
Don’t jump down. Don’t tarnish your crown. You have found Holy Ground. His Light and Love surround you and people with eyes to see will see it. Those with ears to hear will hear it. Then they will dare to crawl, walk, run to climb higher however they can. Your life is not your own and it is affecting, inspiring and empowering more people than you know.
Remain in the Light. It is as good as gold. ~Nicole

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man; but God is faithful who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

He Loves You Just Because

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:32 am by Broken & Brave

The Spirit of God is such a Gentlemen. He is available to all who would receive Him. He gives brightness to the eyes, Joy to the heart, wisdom to the soul and Peace forevermore. He is fully available to those who love Him and believe in Him. But here is where He is unique, He is fully available to those who don’t love Him or Believe in Him as well. He waits patiently, like a Gentlemen, for the invitation to come in and save a soul.

God loves you. His mercies for your life are never ending. Life may try to harden you, but His heart is ever soft toward you. He’s not like us, He loves just because. He loves you just because. ~Nicole

The Champion Life

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:37 am by Broken & Brave

Spirit Of A Champion

God will never assign you merely to lead a pampered life. He may lavish blessing on you. He may even pad your bank account. He can protect your health and place you in a family. He will do it because He loves you, but there is a catch.

When it’s your soul blessing you crave most those satisfactions won’t last. He wants blessing to flow through us, not just be stored up and guarded by us.

The greatest entities and peoples in history were forged by the fires of adversity. He already knows He loves us, but what level of blessing can He entrust to us to do with it as He wills? What have you been given? Life itself is a gift. Share the blessing of who you are with others. Shine bright. When your eyes are honed and focused on His Light you aren’t so worried about anything or anyone else.

A commitment to a Champion Life will be challenging. You must hold yourself accountable to a higher standard. Your standards will make others uncomfortable. Raise the bar anyway. Younger ones are watching and deciding where they will set the bar, expectation and anticipation for their life, too. They may just be using you to decide the plump line.

Be a Champion!

“But as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you—see that you excel in this act of grace also.” 2 Cor. 8:7

Clean Eating: An Act of Worship

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:29 am by Broken & Brave

Clean Eating:  An Act of Worship?

In the past I have posted about my clean eating journey and how it has been an extremely relevant key in my growth to deeper regions of intimacy with God.

In the mid 2000’s somewhere God began speaking to my heart about going to the Next Level with my nutrition. I’d been fascinated with nutrition since the age of 13. I ate better than most, but not anything like I eat now. God prophesied to my heart what my health journey would look like. He gave me a strategy for eliminating certain foods slowly and others immediately, but all of them gone forever eventually. I was excited for this and scared by it. I desired the blessings of God.

I craved deeper affections with Heaven and always prayed for directions to such a path.

He alone equipped me, challenged me, and helped me do it. It took time, years. I set goals over about a two year span of time and in the end the victory was mine. Now I manage my decision every day.

For those who can’t wrap their head around the connection between spiritual satisfaction and food…It’s a form of fasting so to speak. When we fast we sacrifice to draw near to God and answers to prayers. For myself clean eating is a perpetual state of Worship. Positioned in a posture of sacrifice every day. It has produced some Glorious Fruit. Please know I never harbor judgement in my heart for the nutrition choices of others. This is a very personal thing. For me it is very personal. I share because I care to help those who are in the same plain I was in the mid 2000’s. Perhaps my testimony can be a key for your Victory coming. ~Nicole

“You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”
