Heaven Made

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , at 3:19 pm by Broken & Brave

I have been given an invitation to write.

The writing comes from somewhere deep inside of me.
I am like an evergreen tree.
I do not wither or wilt.
Despite storms of life or scorching heat–
The moisture still comes to me,
Keeping my leaves green, my bark tough, thick, resilient, yet ever soft to the touch because of the water I contain.

Living Water is what touches my frame.
My roots are like shoots that tangle and thread beneath the ground that I tread.
Fingers in the garden searching for more, they burrow beneath the soil where I have found pure gold.

Be careful with your life.
It is your most precious commodity-
And it is precious indeed.

The water of heaven cascades down creating flowers on the ground.
And the earth remains STILL.

Drink Deep.
Water yourself.
Nurture your soul, your mind, your flesh.

There is a Glorious song about you-
I’ve heard it sung in Heavens Rooms.
The Father of Life would like to see you watered, too.

You are an evergreen with tender shoots.
Press your fingers down.
Penetrate the ground.
There is moisture in their caverns.
Heaven came down to create in you a Glorious Bloom.
Make room…
Make time…
This is a Beautiful Life.

Poetic prose written by Nicole McBride on this day, May 31,2018.

I spend time in the garden. As I am there I frequently have tea. Then I drink deeply from the wells of a Living King. I carve out and designate time in the afternoon to visit him.

I am thirsty. So I drink.
He is Gentle. So I respond.
I worship, then I listen, then I experience…

And then I write.

I am a Tender Garden.
I hold a pen and I’ve been invited to write.💜

“A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.” Psalm 91:5

You are a Survivor. Though many things may have come against you in your life, it did not succeed. You’re still here, still breathing. So believe and know it is not without purpose. Whatever tragedy you have survived. Whatever calamity has crossed the path of your life. You have made it and…

God will use it to your advantage for whatever it is he has in store for your life.

I’ve been hit by a car as a pedestrian while crossing the street, I’ve been run off the highway by an 18 wheel vehicle. I passed out while in water and almost drown. I experienced severe complications during pregnancy that without modern technology would have taken me out. I’ve had a wealth of other trials and tribulations, but nothing matters more than the fruit of God’s Love, Joy, Peace and Anointed Comfort I received in return. Nothing matters more than God’s incredibly tenacious ability to pursue your heart because nothing brings him more Joy than sharing His Presence with you. And I dare say, Heaven enjoys your company, too. He is a very relational God. He is like a cool drink of water on a hot summer day. He has the unspoken ability to wash your cares away and leave you feeling refreshed even when life feels like a mess.

I’m still here and so are you.

Gods got some amazing stuff for us to do! Enjoy every single day like its a brand new YOU and, my oh my, how marvelous the day looks on you!

Whatever it is that remains in your heart to do…heaven is merely paving the way for your break through. Never give up. Don’t quit. Your life is making a beautiful impact that will only grow if you stay with it.

Spoken For…

God Still Speaks

All of Creation sings a love song to God. It can be seen in the green of a leave, the gentle bend of the willow tree and every bird in the air that has its own song to sing.

God’s Voice still speaks. The problem for most in hearing His Voice is difficult–there too much background noise in the way. Spiritual background noise may include negative thinking, discouraging thoughts, depressed thoughts, hopelessness, shame, guilt or anger/bitterness. This type of thinking clouds the heart and soul and makes it difficult for you to know what God really has to say about the troubles of your every day.

“We pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His Goodness, and the work of faith with power.”

2 Thes. 1:11 (kjv)

Have you ever had a conversation with someone in a busy street? It’s difficult to hear what the other person is saying and sometimes difficult to clearly communicate your words as well. You pull in closer, you look intently at the face of the one speaking, you may even bend your ear in to the conversation. This is what we must do with God. So many want to hear His Voice. You can! Lean into Him in prayer, conversation. Talk to him like you would a friend. Do not feel silly. He hears it all and if you faithfully pursue him you will find him. It’s a promise in Matthew 5 given to you.

God is faithful. He will help you clear out the clutter and noises of life and pull himself right up right to your side. He will look intently into your eyes and He will search your heart and soul. He loves you dearly and wants you to know…He cares. He loves you. You are, in fact, adored. ~Nicole

“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”

It is either in you…or it isn’t.

In the end, the deepest passion, rooted in absolute valor may be planted within One who doesn’t “look” the part.

“Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn’t even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.”

There is a Warrior within you.

Life is an incredible journey, not one grand occasion, but a collection of moments to be treasured, decisions to be made and opportunities to be discovered. Seize each day, for it is a new day and so much rich opportunity is there to be found if we only dare to break the mold of the mundane, the commonplace, the ordinary. Don’t you know you are anything BUT ordinary!

Uncommon are the Warriors and they are always uniquely groomed in uncommon and unlikely circumstances so God can demonstrate how effectively He means to use them for Holy Combat.

You are girded and equipped with everything you need to succeed. He will raise your hands as Moses’ hands were raised to praise by those God has placed around you. (Exodus 17:12, 13)

Praise God for His Goodness. Hunger for his Power.

“for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.” 1 Thes. 1:5

Your desire for more of Him will not be denied. The Warrior within is a zealous and stoic kind.

The Bride of Christ is dressed pristine, pure and white, but His Bride is also a Warrior.

Do not be discouraged.
Don’t give up.
Look up and give a shout of praise.
You are Heavenly Made.
Perhaps God sees strength in you you don’t even know about yet?

“Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses.” 1 Tim. 6:12

Excellence Rising

Posted in Inspirational tagged , , , , , , , at 7:07 am by Broken & Brave

There is a standard of excellence rising up in you like never before. Can you feel it? Are you aware it’s there? You begin to care for and about things, situations and people you maybe never noticed before. All of this, evidence that you’ve grown.

When we are young we may care for those around us, family and friends, but our thoughts are mostly inward and self motivated by nature. As we mature and grow older something begins to shift and we are no longer content to think this way. We come to realize the importance of loving and caring for the needs of others. Everyone faces their own mountains, their own struggles, their own dreams, wants, desires. How are we apart of their equation?

All of life is an endless flow and all our hearts tangled together. The more we move in Oneness the more we become like tiny drops in the sea, mingled so tightly one moecule of water not discernible from another. Yet, we are all there, rolling and waving and waking together. Gently….Fiercely….Lovely.

Everything you do in life matters. Do not discount yourself. Do not think small thoughts of yourself. Nor should we think less than beautiful thoughts of others. Grab your Hope, even if it be merely a tiny thread. Get tangled in it. WRAP up in it. Allow it to hoist your heart and exalt your mind to every dream, inspiration or ambition you have ever held inside. The future is inside you already, waiting for God’s perfect timing to begin. He sets the pace, He charts your race and He knows every roadblock, obstacle, every need and has every provision–both the tangible and the unspoken cares of the heart. Stir up an added measure of Belief.

It is the dwelling place of Hope. Though it takes courage, don’t be afraid to dare to Believe.

For others
I Believe in You! Now, go with belief in yourself. You CAN do it! Don’t forget to have a marvelous day. ~Nicole

You have words of worth in your pocket. Your mouth is the gateway of your voice, but your heart is the keeper of His still small voice. As we burn within something becomes LIT inside of us. Something deeper still becomes alive in us. We become a raging inferno of Hope as we become what we are destined to be.

As we let go we come to know the Greater Still inside of each one of us. Together…we are God’s collective Fire. Be inspired. God Almighty means to take you higher. The best is yet to come. Be Still…come to know your God, Greater.

Shiny Things…

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , at 6:06 am by Broken & Brave

Did you know that your soul has a luster and Shine? Cares of life, the world, anxieties and worries that plague the heart all have the propensity to dull and dim our shine. But when we take time in meditative prayer, worship, it’s like we recharge the batteries on an internal flashlight so it can once again shine bright.

So many people strive to achieve success and “the good life”. I’ve known a lot of people living the extremely good life, yet their life continues to be dull and lacking shine. Where you live is not a street address, prime real estate, a desirable country or state. Where you truly live is within you. Your soul is your true home. In the Word it is called “Nephesh”. Nephesh is a Hebrew word and it literally translates throat, but in context it can mean any part of “your whole self”.

Devote your “whole self” to God.

Devotion time with God isn’t complicated. A scripture a day, a prayer offered like a heart to heart conversation. There is something beautiful, Brave and Courageous about being able to audibly speak what’s going on inside your heart and mind even if it feels like the air is the only one listening. I guarantee if you keep it up you will not only feel the difference in how you handle the cares of the day, you will begin to feel the warmth that internal shine has to offer. You might surprise yourself.

Offer it up today. A little inspiration, a little prayer, drop every care and bow your heart to Heaven. I guarantee Heaven will turn and bend and ear to your spoken heart.

Shiny Things are Beautiful Things…

Heavenly Designed

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , at 7:09 am by Broken & Brave

Nothing surprises God. He looks at every single bit of creation and His Created…you…through the eyes of what He designed and made you to do.

All God needs if for us to agree to trust Him and then we begin to flourish and walk into every ounce of possibility He has declared faithfully.

Your life an extraordinary gift.

Living life to the fullest is a compilation of foundational decisions on life philosophy –what you believe and stand for–and then managing those decisions every day. Each day knowing you are better made than the day before. Every day gaining clearer and keener focus, laser sharp, on what you were made for. When you find your niche you find momentum. You begin to duplicate the vision and then all out massive explosive growth takes over. Pure Gold.

Your value is like that of Pure Gold, but even more because your Heavenly Father has your heart to hold. Crimson Red, he bled because he couldn’t wait for this day to see you, greet you and cheer you on.

Your life is a Beautiful Assignment from Heaven. Carry on…know that Heaven walks beside you every single day. Christ wore the welcome mat like a man of chivalry covering the mud, mire and gunk of our sins so we could walk right over it without even a stitch of our hem staining our garments. Praise God today. You are Gloriously made!

Healthy vs. Unhealthy Competition

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , at 6:37 am by Broken & Brave

Your life will go in the direction of your most dominant thought.

Competition seems to be the nature of the beast, society. Ambition, striving, success and determination to be blessed. Rivalry and competition has been around since the beginning of time. I don’t particularly have a competitive nature, never have. But my Heavenly Father keeps telling me though I don’t compete He has wired me with the ability to be a Conteder. How does that work you may wonder?

Let’s take a look at Rachel and Leah–twp sisters who were caught in an unusual predicament, married to the same man.

As rivalry and unhealthy competition unfolds we can learn a lot about how these two ladies handled themselves or “didn’t” handle themselves. Despite Rachel’s Anointing for Beauty, she became hung up on the wrong things.

What is hanging you up? What is caused discontent in your life? What is the difference between healthy desire to maximize your personal potential (me vs. me competitions) versus unhealthy rivalry and striving?

Here are five keys to living a life free from unhealthy “wanting”. A well watered woman is hard to not draw from!

1. Generosity- Cor. 9:8
A generous woman understands that she can live life with an open hand, God has an endless supply of her needs and He is her first need.

2. Vulnerability- Eph. 5:21
Sometimes, most times it is easier to keep people at arms length than to allow them into our heart and life. A well watered woman understands that true connection happens when we drop our guard enough to develop and cultivate healthy relationships. When we are too guarded we become isolated, hard, cynical, and this can lead to a mean spirit or oppressive behaviors.

3. Listen to the right Voice-
1 Thes. 5:21

We all have a voice and that voice has an assignment-but not all use their voice wisely or cautiously. Sometimes even the most well meaning believers will offer poor wisdom or misguided advice. Put all of it through a filter of the Holy Spirit. What might be a good idea may not be a God idea. What may be shared as truth may really only be perception.

4.Servants heart- Mark 10:42

“Whoever wants to be great among you, be the servant.”

There is something magnificent about the humility that comes with service. It is a form of bowing down-not necessarily physically, but in our heart, mind and soul. In this bowing God gets glory and there is ample Power in humble places. Want more power in your life? Become a servant!

5. Trust God: Surrender Control and know that God has all of your outcomes. Prov. 3:5-6

God is the fixer, not us. I love in the Word where David is fleeing to the Mount of Olives because his son has driven him out and taken over his rightful throne. A man is hurling stones and insults at him and instead of killing the man he replied in 2 Sam. 16:12 “It may be that the Lord will look upon my misery and restore to me by his covenant blessing instead of this curse today.” He trusted God with the outcome and that maybe God had some purpose in what he was facing. Surrender is huge because when we try to control situations, people and outcomes we lurk into a dangerous place of opening a spiritual door to witchcraft. (Gal. 5:20). Surrender declares we understand our position of Sonship. God’s got it!

The Lord your God is a Crimson Warrior! He is right there beside you, paving the way, hearing your prayers, meeting your needs and plotting for you a stellar victory! Drink deep from his wells of living water today so your roots will act like shoots that dig so deep they remain drenched even in the driest of seasons. You are made for more!

Love, Nicole💜

Look Up

Posted in Inspirational, true story tagged , , , , , at 6:43 am by Broken & Brave

I was doing some writing this morning that took a little more time and research. I was browsing through my notes and came across this piece I wrote some four years back, I guess. Thought today would be a good day to share it.

Time is a funny and precious thing. We waste so much time searching for treasures, searching for happiness, contentment. We waste so much time on empty entertainment and idle cares and concerns.

Look up, Beloved. Look up. Climb into the lap of Abba Father. Allow His Love to wrap around you and cloak you and lavish you with encouragement, exhortation, praise. He sees your every attribute, ability and He even sees all of your future victories. No one can hug like Him. Be held today. Whatever you face. It’s going to be okay.

“Look at me. Look at me.” Said my 3 year old as I was distracted by something else when he clearly wanted my undivided attention. So, I stopped what I was doing and I looked right in his eyes. When I did, he said, “I love you.”

Isn’t this such a perfect analogy of how The Lord desires our hearts focus? We have a lot to do and many times plans fail or we just don’t know what to do…but God is ever true. He knows what to do every time. Every hill, valley and mountain top experience he knew about ahead of time. So if he knows everything, is surprised or caught of guard by NOTHING~then I think it’s safe to say he has a plan. Sometimes we just have to get our eyes off the distractions…look to his face and allow him to wrap himself around us and say, “I love you.”

He’s never going to let you go. Relax in his grip. I hear he is pretty strong.

Hold tight. Rest easy… Absolutely everything is going to be alright. You’ll see…

“When I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.” Micah 7:8
