Guide Post to Liberty

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:58 am by Broken & Brave

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, your mind, your soul and your strength.” Mark 12:30

In this passage when I see the word strength I hear in my spirit repeated to me “me’od”. I was doing a Bible Word study with my seven year old last month and was fascinated by what I learned about this Hebrew word and it’s role in the Shema prayer found in the Old Testament. The Shema is three parts and is prayed morning, evening and again before bed by the Jewish people. It is a Hebrew name meaning “hearing, obeying”.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9, but looking at verse 4 and 5, The Shema says,

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

In this passage in Hebrew strength is me’od. But when reading I find me’od doesn’t mean strength at all. It means, in essence, maximum capacity or total fullness. It adds emotion and depth to strength. All of it!

God wants our ALL, in everything. We cannot fully conceive, believe or retrieve the potential He has given us until we allow Him total access to every area of our being. This sounds simple, but it’s not. Why? Here’s a few ideas of mine…

Have you ever heard someone say “from the depth of my heart”?

For example, “I love you from the bottom of my heart.”

When it is said it conveys a deep sincerity or maximum ability. I love you with all that I am or like a child saying they really, REALLY like something or someone. As I was thinking about this I came to realize that as a Church, the Body of Christ, we cannot come into full potential and promise until we learn to love God me’od–with all of ourself. Few will ever reach maximum potential. This is not being cynical, it’s just true. Christ reached perfection and his life is the benchmark for total success, but because we can’t achieve perfection we learn to take on His. His love cloaks us and develops our capacity and ability and we yield and the Holy Spirit takes over and we are suddenly able to love like never before.

My heart and burden is for the Bride of Christ. Collectively and certain people specifically. God has my focus on the Church, helping her to find such a level of personal healing, strength and growth on all levels she is able to love the Lord her God with me’od intensity.

As God has groomed me for my Calling I have been mentored by the Holy Spirit and learned by revelation and experience over the last nearly twenty years that the American Bride is wounded. She is saved, but her heart, mind and soul have aches and pains and scars that have not healed right. She longs for love. To be loved, to feel love deeply and to give it, but somehow there is a wall that keeps her from loving more, forgiving more, giving more. Many are trapped in deleterious thought patterns and behaviors they desire to free from, but just can’t seem to get to the other side. They have invisible barriers to healing affecting their health in mind, body, soul and spirit.

If this is pricking your heart in any level do not be discouraged. Find Hope in it. God is bringing you keys to Liberty. The invisible finger of God is like an ointment and cleanser like non ever sold and He can touch any heart, deliver it, declutter it and make it warmly shine pure gold.

Here are a few actions steps to help you on your way:

1. Repent (1 John 1:9)-ask God for forgiveness. Ask Him to bring to mind unconfessed sins or to highlight in your mind areas He wants to address.

2. Renounce (Psalm 51:2)- You must renounce and turn from all forms of the occult. This means witchcraft. You may be thinking, “well, I don’t dabble”. But you probably have had some contact in your life with the occult. If you’ve ever read a horoscope or had conversations about your “sign”, then you have practiced witchcraft and the occult. It could be a movie you’ve watched, had your palm read, tarot cards…most forms of yoga! Just a few examples. All it takes is one encounter! So just pray and make a general reouncement, “Forgive me and I sever all ties with the occult”.

3. Speak with integrity (Eph. 4:25)-

Tell the truth. Nothing will convolute your ability to hear God like a Spirit of lying. When you practice honesty you are clearing clutter and the Enemy can’t thrive in a clean area. Confusion accompanies a lying tongue so as you discipline yourself in this area you may find greater clarity and connection to the Holy Spirit. This isn’t just in our relations with others, but also every lie we tell or believe about ourselves. Understand that there is no condemnation. Sin is sin to God. He loves His kids, but he has keys to help us win and this is a big one if you want deeper intimacy and clarity.

3. Worship (1 Thes. 2:13)-begin to actively praise God. Talk to him like you are talking to a dear friend, telling them the wonderful thoughts and feelings you have for them. Tell Him the way you feel about the good things He has done in your life. You should read scriptures also and Psalms is a great book of praise that may help give you words to say. Pray these verses out loud.

4. Thrive! (Nehemiah 8:10)- The Joy of the Lord is your strength and God has ample Joy to share with you. He created you and your life is like an Ode to Joy to Him! He adores you and can’t stop thinking about you and caring for you for one minute. He finds you incredible and His desire to express this to you are insatiable and longs for you to express how you feel the same. It really is a relationship!

5. Repeat (1 Thes. 5:16-18)- practice these disciplines. You don’t have to renounce the occult every day, unless you struggle in this area and have a sin issue with it. But repent, worship, search your heart, read scriptures and offer thanks. Ask God to penetrate your heart to its depths, your mind and soul and spirit as well and increase your capacity to love to the fullest–me’od strong!

Rest in His Love.
Refresh in His Grace.
Find Joy in His smile.
Take pleasure in an unmistakable love of heaven from which your place cannot be erased.
No matter what,

He loves you still.💜
This is reason enough for Joy and to breath in deep the Love, Rest and Peace being offered to you.

God hasn’t special reserved seating just for you!

Warrior of Worship

Posted in Inspirational, Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , at 8:14 am by Broken & Brave

Follow your heart my dear-it has courage. Drink deep of Heaven-it will nourish and sustain you. Take action steps of faith. There are worn and weary soldiers who need your strength and faith. And don’t forget to worship.

Spend some time today thanking God for every incredible gift you’ve ever received. It won’t make God less aware of your very real needs. Thank Him for always blazing the trails before us. He is a good God. He’s been good to us. He has been better to us than we have been to him. Bless Him. Thank Him.

Allow Goodness and Mercy to follow you all the days of your life. Amen.

The Anchor and steadfast guidance of Holy Spirit is your key to victory.
Rest in his Grace. He’s already taken care of every detail, even the tiniest details. Rest. Be blessed. Allow Heaven to lavish a bountiful harvest upon you. All ripe fruit and tender meat and green leaf. Pure exhortation is like a well balanced and nutrient dense meal.

When God is on the rise in our life and as He prepares to draw us in-He will stir our hunger, one way or another.

“Then she arose with her daughters-in-law to return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the fields of Moab that the Lord had visited his people and given them food.”

Dig Deep

Posted in Uncategorized at 3:39 am by Broken & Brave

When my oldest kids were younger and even the younger ones now, I would always speak possibility into them and when they struggled–primarily in academics–I would tell them they had another gear they hadn’t even tapped into yet. They needed to dig deeper. I would present it as encouragement not pressure. Helping them to see what I saw, what I knew they were capable to do. Like pulling the training wheels off of a bike and learning the exuberant joy of the ride–but in this case over the mind.

Digging deep has become a family mantra. My daughter, in her last semester of college had a grueling schedule and a job on top. She spent tireless hours working on late night projects against the very real sting of oppressive deadlines and expectations. But she knew how to dig deep and sacrifice sleep to get the job done and to get it done right. She would tell me she would be so exhausted, but she could hear my voice in her head saying, “Dig Deep, Alex.”

The Holy Spirit is known to wake me up at night and invite me to pray, to intercede, to commune with Him. Sometimes this comes right after very active and revelatory dreaming. When He wakes me I receive interpretation and direction. I often receive foreknowledge of current events in the lives of others or future events that haven’t occurred yet. Then I pray. I frequently see what He spoke of in the dreams and prayed happen within days. “He is a lamp for my feet and a light for my Path.” He is always faithful. I listen and always know how to proceed.

Last night and tonight are such nights. When He awakens me I feel His Presence and I know His Voice. Last night I woke and tried to just lie in bed and quietly pray, but He just pulled and pulled at my heart, mind and Spirit to get up. To get my journal and my pen and to worship Him. I asked if I could just praise from there? I was so very tired, so very comfortable. Then He spoke to me in the same manner I often speak to my children… He leaned into my heart these words that flow from my pen…

Sometimes digging deep means you must sacrifice sleep to spend more time in prayer and praise.

The supernatural ability and gift of self discipline and self control have afforded me the beautiful fruit of intimacy with my Lord. As I abide in Him, disciplining my body to do what it should, with purpose and intent, He has rewarded me over and over again with His Love, Faithfulness and Overwhelming Kindness. He offers all of these freely as the beauty of Grace, but I dare suggest there is another level to be tapped into. A Well of Special Reserve available to all, but not all venture to find it.

What a friend.
I’ve never had a better Friend.

So I seek to honor and pursue Him over and over again. He is like a Bridegroom calling His Bride into his chambers. Most are content with only a surface encounter with Him. Some are merely curious, but distract easily. Some are over analytical and suspicious of even the Holy Spirit. But not I. I see Him. Feel Him. Touch Him and encounter God because I know and remember what He has brought me through and brought me from. My heart fully committed like a marriage covenant.

What are you willing to lose to gain deeper access with Him? Are you looking for answers? Are you missing? Struggling to find yourself, your true identity? I don’t mean the persona you want or ambition or desire…the true DNA make up that God intends to use to raise the bar of your life higher. Only He can peer within the soul, search it out and retrieve cluster after cluster of pure gold.

You are pure gold.

Can you stand the heat long enough to be refined into the Mighty Warrior he crafted inside? Can you hold tight and go the distance? Do you understand the impenetrable mark of Love on your life? Do you know how to dig deep, sacrifice whatever it is He has called you to sacrifice? Will you lose sleep to polish and refine the focus of your dreams, desires, ambitions?

God has His mark and it is upon you. He gave every detail of your visions landscape to you. He alone can turn the soil and bring the spoil.

Do you trust him?

I’m not talking about surface or lip service trust. I’m talking about the gritty kind that’s not afraid to lose sleep, dig deep and penetrate the darkness. I think you do. Otherwise heaven wouldn’t have lead my pen to you. Just the fact that your reading this now means it is intended for you.

God’s got Warriors and they are Stealthy Beings who, for the sake of Love, become the tip of the spear, going in deep and clearing the path for victories that will make an eternal impact.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul and all your strength.”
Mark 12:30

Dig Deep. You’ve got more.
You’ve got another entire layer of fortitude, stamina and mentorship from the Holy Spirit knocking at your door. Allow Him to flood your heart. Don’t hold back. Don’t be afraid. You are Heaven Made. Just as the deer pants for the water–so does the soul of the Lord long for you.

No matter what, never forget–

You are incredibly loved.

God knows the entire circumference of your heart. Believe me–we have only scratched the surface of Heart Potential. God intends to bring you into the realms of Abundance.

Much Love, Joy & Grace in the Father~

“But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.”

Saved by the Stitch

Posted in Devotional, Inspirational tagged , , at 6:26 am by Broken & Brave

When you are petite, diminutive, smaller in stature😉
…you either learn to sew alterations yourself or you have a favorite tailor.

I was blessed with a mother who could really crank the wheel and fix, sow, mend, hem, pretty much everything. I have some sewing skills, but I’m not a seamstress. My daughter can do a little sewing as well. But let me tell you about the original fashion designer. The one True Lord & Tailor.

God is all about textiles.
God is all about your life.

The fabric of your life may be stretched, twisted, pulled and wrinkled at times…but you are resilient. You are strong. You are flexible. You are hardy and you belong in every season. You never go out of style and your seams may seem like they are falling apart–but they don’t. God is the stitch work that beautifully holds it all together and keeps every detail in place. And who else could take credit for the incredible smile you put on His face?

There is an old idiom that goes,
“A stitch in time saves nine.”

In modern words, if something gets taken care of right away you can deflect more damage or problems that can arise in any situation. Think of all the stitches God saves! Because His love saves us every time.

So keep your chin up, wherever life rolls. God’s got special materials and patches to mend the holes. He hand washes the details of our life and knows how to keep the colors bright. He longs to bless your life.

“A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; A time to be silent and a time to speak.” Ecc. 3:7

Fences with Flowers

I’ve been thinking a lot this week about my time. My schedule is full and I deliberately try to pack it to maximize it, yet know when to quit and say “I can’t do it.” Because a lot of people can pull at our time. I really want to help people, but God is releasing me to be incredibly selective about who gets my time. I already thought I was being pretty selective in this manner, but I guess He is refining the list again, preparing me to be most effective where I am called.

When someone wants to do something, nothing can stop them. When someone isn’t sure about something, nothing can make them.
Everything comes down to Desire.

The prayer, Beloved, is that one day you will see inside yourself all the character, integrity, strength, honor and Kingdom Glory that I see.

Time is a precious commodity. Be wise how you use it.
Spend it? Waste it? Or did you INVEST it?
And be careful who you give it to. Others will rarely value your time. It’s ok to say no to people and put stiff borders around your time, resources and abilities. It’s ok to protect your investments in your own health and happiness. But isn’t this counterintuitive to the Christian life? Aren’t we supposed to give? Supposed to share? Supposed to help? Of course we are. But we will never be all to all and if we try we are surely going to fall! Not everyone will like your no, but the yes’–just watch them flourish grow and the roots sink deep!

“If you’re chasing the masses, you’re almost certainly heading the wrong direction. The masses are ignoring you. It’s the weird who are choosing to pay attention, to seek out what they care about.” Seth Godin

It doesn’t matter what other people think. It doesn’t matter what other people do. It’s all up to you. You know in your heart the path carved, the direction to take. God will work with your deficits, areas of limitations just as well as your pluses! And though we have fences, decorate them heavily with flowers. Though we have borders, people will feel the softness of your presence, smell the aroma of your garden and delight in your company.

With proper courage your Divine Destiny will make true a happy, edifying and satisfying life for you. Be strong! God’s got you covered. ~Nicole

Love Reaches Down

Posted in Devotional, Inspirational tagged , , , at 6:00 am by Broken & Brave

Sometimes love has to reach down.
Sometimes love has to sacrifice for the benefit of another.
Sometimes love has to do what it doesn’t feel like doing because genuine love is more than just a feeling.
Sometimes love has to break a sweat to make an impactful difference.

Love knows you are like a Bloom worth picking, so He reaches down…He stoops down….he often times gets real low. He often times like the stealthy place, flying below the radar of popular culture. He goes unnoticed by the crowd, but He is making a deliberate and genuine attempt to reconcile your heart to heaven.

God cares about what you care about. You may not feel His Presence, but this is not because He isn’t present. It is more because the clouds looming over your life is clouding his rays of sunshine.

Love crouches down to get a better look because Love has a Name with Heavenly Fame and it knows you are a Glorious Bloom worth picking.

You are a part of Heaven’s Garden.

“And the LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.”

Isaiah 58:11

The Table is Set

Posted in Inspirational, Prayer of blessing tagged , , at 6:54 am by Broken & Brave

The table is set…

His tables are set and you are invited in.

A table is a beautiful piece of furniture, or it can be anyway. I am a lover of French Provincial decor/design. But there is something most extraordinary about a set table. I love to decorate the table! The flatware in place, sterling silver and the shine! The crystal reflects and grabs hold of the lighting. The linens and napkins create texture and balance and bring a splash of color to set the tone, the mood, the theme to the room–enchanting and inviting.

When entertaining there is so much to do: the table setting, the cleaning, but also the preparation of the food.

What a joy to be invited in!

You, Friend, are invited in. A bouquet of flowers have been nestled together in the center of your reserved space. The dishes are washed and clean. No detail has gone unnoticed. Everything prepared and ready for your feast to begin. Dine. For you are in fact and honored guest.

You are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with grace.” Ps. 45:2

Let me anoint you with an oil of joy as you enter the room. We do all things around here without grumbling or murmuring. The air lingers with the scent of only the finest spices.

Allow me to lead you with joy and gladness into the palace. It’s the palace of the King. He has choice morsels, the finest delicacies, to nourish your flesh and bring comfort to your bones. Savory beverages–water–but this water is like none you’ve ever known. He alone knows the groans of your heart and can feed your souls thirst.

Drink of these Living Waters and never thirst again.

Now you are equipped to ride victoriously in the cause of truth, humility, and justice.

Know that in your Masters Chambers you are always welcome and will always receive recovery and refreshment in every season or times of need or times of abundance and joy. He’s not just a King, but a faithful Father and True Companion. He is with you to the end.

I had so much fun writing this piece. All excerpts and creativity founded on Psalm 45. Psalm 45 is an anchor passage (the entire chapter) the Lord has spoken over my life and His Devine Assignment given to me.

I hope you’ve enjoyed it and it has brought comfort and the reminder you may need that you are excellent and Abba Father wants to bring your heart merriment. He is enthralled by your Beauty (Psalm 45:1).

Blessings and Love,

Keys of the Heart

Posted in Inspirational, Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , , , , at 7:00 am by Broken & Brave

It’s easy to get away from God.

Sometimes people get away and it’s obvious by the choices they make, places they go and people they spend time with. But sometimes people slip away even though it appears they haven’t gone anywhere. They are continuing to go through the motions, stick with the routine, do what needs to be done…but somehow their hearts feels a bit unplugged.

Is this you?

The hard part about this is maybe you feel a little less than because of it? Maybe you feel a bit of shame or guilt for how you are feeling? You want to trust God with your life and your outcomes, but howcome things aren’t turning out right? These are all questions many believers have asked. There is nothing wrong with you.

It’s time to Rest.

I woke up with this word on my heart with specific names attached that God has asked me to pray for. I’m reaching out and telling you I am praying a blanket prayer for you, too. Let me cover you…I don’t need to know it’s you, but if you tell me it is safely tucked away in my prayer closet and I have the keys. I am praying. Cover yourself with this little prayer and then we can agree God is going to meet your HEART need first. The rest will follow when we REST in Him. Daddy’s got big arms so hold tight.

Father, I pray today that you wrap yourself around the hearts, mind, soul of all who want it. Fill and expand their capacity to feel your Presence. Nurture their soul. Feed their wanting and excite their inner man with the fragrance of heaven. You are in love, I know, show each person earmarked by you just how extravagantly your love is for them, too. Blessings for this day. Give your children rest and freedom from the fretting of life. Help them tap into the Joy inside. Amen”

Set Apart🗝

Posted in Inspirational, Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , , , at 7:16 am by Broken & Brave

You have been set apart as fully chosen. There is none besides you.
You have a certain sparkle and Shine that is unique only to you.
You will prevail in all you set your heart, mind, soul, and strength to because the Lord of all of Heaven, its hosts, its purposes and pleasures has decided His heart for you.

Dwell in His Magnificence.
Inhale the aroma like a sweet nectar.
Cherish the position of his heart in which you dwell.
There is more yet to be stirred up inside you. You are a pillar of strength and Heaven’s Roar is locked inside you. The kiss of heaven resides there as well.

God intends to play an incredible game of show and tell. He’s not only decided to encourage your heart with words…He will show you by how He blesses and touches your heart.

Heart. Mind. Soul. Strength.
He has got more.

The only keys you need, belong to His Majesty.
His keys are wrapped in Love and open everything.

(Prose of Soul as written on my heart by my Lord. 6/3/18)

God Is Sufficient

Posted in Inspirational, Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , , , , at 5:32 am by Broken & Brave

I tend to be task driven by nature.

When I was in my twenties I began to realize a shift in my heart. I was noticing that keeping a list and scratching things off was very productive and satisfying, I also saw that the greater my list grew the more overwhelmed I began to feel. As my responsibilities shifted from only being responsible for myself to being responsible for my growing family I had to relearn a healthy balance in this.

I began to lay my lists before the Lord.

I began to seek His guidance for every day. I realized many times what was important wasn’t a priority for God. As I began to release grip of my goals and their deadlines I began to feel liberated, less stressed and more alive. I was now learning to experience Joy in my Journey.

Fast forward to now–all who know me well know that if I’m invited to something or asked to participate in something (even if I’m absolutely wanting to do it) I always respond “I don’t know, I need to pray first”. Sometimes God asks me to do things my schedule doesn’t seem to fit and it ends up flowing beautifully. Sometimes what looks like an obvious “yes”, He says “No”.

Being God Sufficient not Self Sufficient means we don’t always have to work more to bridge the gaps. We just need to trust more that God is our Source for every lack.

“In his heart man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.” Proverbs 16:9
