Love Step In

Posted in Inspirational, Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , , , , , , , at 7:31 am by Broken & Brave

There are times when you feel and know that nothing you can do will make a difference—

This is when it’s important to know that Christ CAN make the difference. And sometimes I think He likes it like that. The bigger question is are you truly satisfied in Him? IS God your Source? We say it, we sing it, we declare it, but how am I living it?

For whatever the reason the Lord has called my family to live by extreme faith obedience. I actually finished a book a few years ago sharing stories of God’s Radical hand of Mercy and Provision in extremely precarious situations.

I used to feel deep pain over the fact that my exact obedience to God was the reason I’d have the trial, not just once, but over and over. The more I’d grow in wisdom, the more ridiculous the request! God and I both have always known HE wired me with a stoic obedience. But then I had a aha moment…others were growing in faith because they witnessed the events of my life. I’d have people come to me and share how they mustered faith for their trial because they’d remind themself of something I went through that was more extreme, but similar, and they saw God pull one out of nowhere to help me. Kind of gritty, I know, but His Kingdom was advanced!

Have you ever had a trial because of doing what you were lead to do? Well—if you have, you know, if you haven’t, be prepared because the deeper you go the more He will ask. But above all, Beloved Child of God, know that he is using it to be a blessing. What? That’s right. A Blessing. Trials aren’t always the result of our blunders. Just look at King David, as a shepherd boy he obeyed His Father, took food to the battle lines for his family and as a result found himself face to face with Goliath!

God will use your trials to mold and shape you into the you He created you to become and He also uses our trials to advance His Kingdom and Glory.

So measure you trials accordingly. Last night in our house we made an ice cream pie and had to go to the market to fetch all the necessary ingredients. It took a little bit of time to prepare. But the outcome was a tantalizing delight my boys are sure to enjoy this afternoon. (It’s my sons birthday week and I love to celebrate all week!😉)

Do not question your actions—good or bad, what’s done is done. Restore Peace in your heart by Reconciling with Christ. Don’t be mad at God if you are (many people tend to carry a grudge against God!). He isn’t out to get you or hurt you. Accept once and for all how much He loves you.

He loves you.

And He probably has a plan for your life that is amazing, but you’ve got to just step back and give him the reigns on that Horse and allow Him to take the lead of your life. (Psalm 20:7)

He’s got you, Child. I Promise…He has got you.

So if you find yourself walking through a Fire. Prepare, Beloved, prepare. There is a Flood of blessing on the other side and He wants you ready and prepared to carry the blessing.

Carry the blessing?

Have you ever been submerged in water with full clothing on? Hard to swim right? The weight gets heavy because the clothing holds the water and if you get tired you might sink. It’s too much to carry. Blessing can operate the same way. We tend to think of it as all good and exciting, but maybe you truly don’t understand the concept of abundance? Abundance has weight. Abundance has responsibility. Abundance can destroy left in the wrong place. Abundance requires preparation.

“…From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.”

Luke 12:48

Embrace the preparation. Seed time and Harvest—God fulfills His Promises. (Ecc. 3:1-8)

I pray this day you watch Love step in and it leaves you astounded! I pray God drip, hand over fist, his goodness over you.

Taste and see—He is Good!

“In the same way, count yourself dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” Romans 6:11-12

Lord, bless us each with the contentment that surpasses understanding. Let the Peace I have found in each moment , that wellspring of Hope I’ve tapped into, flow like a fountain well allowing all who are thirsty and dry and in need of refreshment, to drink liberally from my inkwell. Let them get tanked, drenched, saturated, in the most Glorious of ways. Amen.

One of the best things you can do in a dry season is saturate your soul. The more intimacy with heaven, the more carnal mindsets and desires die. What remains? A Purified Bride who is Holy and pleasing with knowledge and insight that could make a grown man blush!

Seek wisdom and radical intimacy with the Sovereign. Hand in Glove-His Love is your perfect fit. He is, however, no respecter of persons. All are equal at the floor of His Throne. He cherishes all.

The more you seek Him,

The more you find Him.

He speaks His secrets to His Servants and they possess the mind of Christ.

He floods their Tabernacle with immaculate goodness and mercy. Their Barns overflow with New Wine. The old skins fade away like bleach on a Crimson Sea. The Redeemed One—did all of that for you. He did all of that for me.

Allow my words within your heart like an ointment, lotion or salve. I know you endure much scorn. So let it sink in—absorb the goodness and love of God. He is not going anywhere. Right now He isn’t asking you for anything—that only you would drink him in.

Just as Rebekah offered drink to Abraham’s servant and all of his camels as well. (Genesis 24). Drink until you’ve had your fill and you begin to overflow .

Heart and Soul

Yours is a Delightful Inheritance.

Fire to the Flood

Posted in Inspirational tagged , , , , , , at 6:50 am by Broken & Brave

“Then he said to his servant, “Go and look out toward the sea.”

1 Kings 18:43

In this passage we read how Elijah called forth in faith a Mighty rain storm. He prayed and prayed with his head down low until a small, non-intimidating cloud appeared. And as that cloud drew near, a Mighty storm unloaded water to a dry Kingdom.

Is your life experiencing lack or dryness? Are you thirsting for more? Your more can be any of a myriad of things. More groceries for your family. More gas in the car. More pay at your job. More time off from your job to spend with those you love.

More. More. More….

God is prepared to be your More.

When trials come, and they always do, you may have to pass through the Fire to get to the Flood.

But I promise you, Dear One—

Not even a stench of smoke will be residue on you. Instead, you will emit a pleasing aroma. So relaxed and calm you will be in Holy Serenity people may even mistake you for being sleepy or tired. But instead, they will be experiencing a heart Alive and on Fire!

The deeper and broader your Faith grows the more the One it is Anchored to will lead you out into uncharted waters, gaining new territory, and creating living proof that all things are possible with God.

So go ahead…

Step into the Blaze.

Put a smile on your face.

Drink it in…

Your experiences are casting vision for your future.

The Fire is not your home, but the prophetic mantle within you kind of likes the Fire. It’s not afraid of the Fire. Because you’ve been trained on how to walk through the Fire to get to God’s Garden Flood of Delight. Lush looks good on you.

He will bring you respite.

Sorrow only last but a Night.

New Hope.

New Joy—

New, New, NEW! Joys come in the morning.

He is the One who makes all things new and I think it looks marvelous on you.

So hold tight and watch the Holy One of Heaven burst on the scene like a Mighty Storm cloud and wash away every care, trouble and cleansing giving new birth, new life, new joy, new season. The soil beneath your feet with sustain you.

Square your shoulders. Though they carry a lot—God knows just how to rub the right spot and bring supernatural relief even in the midst of deep sorrow or grief. It’s truly His pleasure to relieve you.

“When you pass through the waters,

    I will be with you;

and when you pass through the rivers,

they will not sweep over you.

When you walk through the fire,

    you will not be burned;

the flames will not set you ablaze.”

Isaiah 43:2

God Knows

Posted in Inspirational tagged , , , , , , , at 10:24 pm by Broken & Brave

God knows and He has a plan.

When you feel all your everything has run out, that is when it’s time to shout about how good your God is!

When you’ve exhausted all hope, that is when you go to a new level of extraordinary faith obedience and trust for provision. Our faith blossoms to new levels as we watch God dig deep and pull out miracles.

He won’t be losing any sleep over our trials, so we shouldn’t either.

What is it your heart aches or yearns for? God wants you to, hand over fist, understand that He does in fact have a plan and He does not need any provision of man to make a way for you.

God has ample resources at His fingertips. The world offers a voice of reason that is a mere drip compared to the floodgates and Knowledge of Heaven.

While your carnal mind tries to make sense of it—God is busy at work making a way for it!

You cannot ever forget…

He is the God of Perfect Timing.

He desires you to hold onto Him.

Hold on now.

Have stellar belief and faith that He is using it all to usher in the time of your life {whatever your “it” is}!

So take it all in stride.

The harvest is of greater value than the seed. Take courage.

“Without courage even wisdom would bear no fruit.”

Andy Andrews

If you know that you know that you’ve sown good seed, and done so in faith with belief, hope and risk taking courage in your heart—Then you’ve done your part.

Now it’s time for God to do His.

Your fears might as well be named Guenevere, which means white ghost or phantom. Because fear is a liar. It comes like a ghost planting deleterious seeds of weeds that will choke out your hope if you let it.

So blow some breath at that phantom and send it away just as quickly as it came. It has no power over you.

You have nothing to fear.

If God can care for the Israelites in the dessert, sustaining them day by day—then He can handle whatever it is you face.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Jeremiah 29:11-12

Whole heart!

God doesn’t just want part of you—He is a Jealous Lover of Soul.

He wants every ounce of you.

You are adored.

So love him big, deep and hard with every aspect of who you are.

Restoration is His specialty.

If He can part the Red Sea then I promise—

You are not going to drown.

Straighten your Crown.

You were made to Overcome!

Fit Life For Life!

I remember when my daughter was maybe 10, maybe a little younger…I had to explain to her why exercise was important to do even when you didn’t feel like doing it. Because she saw me consistent with it she assumed I always wanted to do it. I told her I didn’t always feel like working out. She seemed surprised. Then I walked her through a talk about our family health history.

When you know your history, you know what needs to happen to change the future so history doesn’t repeat.

Keep guiding your kids.

My kids eat a thousand times healthier by choice than I did at their age.

Raise them to be over-comers.

It may feel hard at times because let’s face it—they’re going to do what you do not what you suggest. So you’ve got to lead by example.

I’m once again reminded of the fruit of dedication and intention as my daughter is a young working adult and rises up and gets to the gym at 5am!

A Word Called Delighted

Posted in Inspirational tagged , , , , , at 5:01 am by Broken & Brave

He is a God rich in Universal Experiences. He puts His Hand to the plow and He tiles us until He knows that we are a Field of Delight worth the seed He intends for us. Because when God plants you somewhere you can guarantee He means to bring Choice Garden Leaf with hearty stem yet delicate petals—bearing the King succulent fruit that could win gold medals should you choose to enter it at the fair.

In the Harvest, in the Picking, He lavishes a love so strong on us, a blessing so deep—it quietly yet stoically reveals to our soul that not only does His Love Yield—but we were a field worth picking.

All in all, though some things must fall by the wayside and some relationships must die, God is yet reaching down without obtaining a single scratch on His Crown and communicating over and over again—

So let this serve as your reminder today:

You are exceptional.

God knew why he picked you all along.

You have a style and way all your own.

You are needed, right here, right now.

You have much to offer.

You are loved, cherished and greatly esteemed. God knew all of this when He created you.

So, cheers to you today! Be a wave of intentional blessing. Let everything you do, pursue, achieve, be done without a hint of murmuring…

Let it flow from the soul.

You are an inspiration of grace, you are luminous with hope and those who embrace the atmosphere around you are infused as well by vehicle of your heart and soul, mind and spirit. Believe it! ~Nicole

Poetic Prose of Adoration. Penned early a.m., Monday 3/25/19

I confess, I love writing, but the prose are my favorite. They bleed more of the essence of me, heart and soul and my affections released for the One worthy to be Adored. I named this one Canopy though I mention the word not once with the prose of my pen.

Canopy because of what it represents. A Canopy of Hope is an effective covering for the heart. Blessed, Refreshed, Replenished, Loved…

all create a Haven…

God bless your heart today with Valor to Conquer all God has placed you on this earth to do. The Almighty sees it inside of you.

I hope my words affect you this way.

Let my ink be like salve on a worn or weary heart. Enjoy.

Be near, Lord.

Your nearness is ever so important to me.

Trail the sky pouring out your Light like liquid—

Your Heavenly Dew, your Oil of Joy like honey makes me New.

I exclusively write my prose for you.

I don’t always understand you But there is zero doubt,

I forever love you.

So I daily respite my flesh, my will and I command myself submissive to you.

Holy God, you are MY God.

As my heart seeks you-

I desire your Presence.

Heart and Soul, the Holy of Holies,

It is you I adore.

You are the Apple of my eye.

Have you ever been truly sorrowful and sorry over something? Have you ever watched God take the very thing that brought you sorrow and use it to His benefit? So unique are the ways and will of God.

In the Old Testament, back to Genesis, there is the ancient story of Adam and Eve—the first recorded humans. They lived in a lush garden and had every luxury at their fingertips. There was only one exclusion from their access, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. This tree has long been called “Forbidden Fruit”.

Why couldn’t they have it? Maybe it was not so much because the fruit was bad, of course not, Eve saw the fruit was good. Why did the Serpent tempt her so to eat it?

Eve was God’s Holy vessel. The Serpent knew he couldn’t outright destroy her, so he coaxed her into using her temple for unholy purposes.

Did you know you are Holy and set apart?

Whenever we hear of or speak of this story, most use it as an analogy for sexual sin. I just had a conversation with a female yesterday about this. I deeply believe that people rank sexual sins. All sex outside of marriage is sin. I don’t care if you’re marrying the person tomorrow, if you have relations with them today, you’ve sinned. There is a deep covenant blessing in the waiting that will bear fruit in season of marriage when things maybe aren’t so fabulous. However, what if this verse encapsulates all forms of temptation? Because it does!

The Word says that Eve showed the fruit to Adam and he agreed to eat it. Beloved—what has caused moral decline in your better judgement? Who has been whispering in your ear or maybe not whispering, but making your life difficult to the point of yielding against your better judgement to do things that don’t line up with the ways and will of God? Are you eating forbidden fruit in your workplace by cutting corners? Are you fibbing on your taxes at the request of your spouse? Are you turning a blind eye when you can see eyes open wide? All forms of forbidden fruit, and the list could go on and on and on.

But here is what is so beautiful with God. You cannot change your past. You could live with regret, but why? The horizon is so much more glorious, luminous and bright!

If my pen has brought conviction it is not my intent. But if it has, take a moment now and release your regret and repent in the Arms of a Loving, Merciful and Kind Savior.

“Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.” 2 Cor. 7:10

Now let me wrap my words around you as though they were arms of love. I’d like to take a spin on the always cynical interpretation and focus on Adam and Eve. God says himself that he works all things for the good of those who love Him.

Adam and Eve were the first Pioneers! What an honor to be loved richly and deeply by a God who bore no shame and covered them in love and gave them the honor to inhabit, explore and expand His Kingdom here on earth. Everything they did, was a ground breaking FIRST!

God can take every deleterious experience you have ever endured or even procured yourself and flip it into something of glorious worth!

So stop with regret. Worldly sorrow bears no fruit. But God will take the wiser version of yourself and use it to guard that tabernacle of soul (you!) that He so fondly adores. You, my Friend, are a Pioneer. God knows he can count on you to explore and take territory for Kingdom’s sake.

So dry your eyes for goodness sake. The best of you is still at Rest in you. Just as Adam and Eve bore children after leaving the garden, you can birth something incredible after you discover your areas of greatest weakness or temptation. Remember, this isn’t about sexual sin…but if that’s your area, guard it. It could be people pleasing…it could be gluttony and comforting yourself with food or drink. It could be anger. It could be pride. It could be so many things…your heart it telling you what yours is right now.

Give God the Glory.

Rise up, Dear One, Shine your pretty heart out.

You’re Beautiful and God loves you. He will turn your life around and gain greater territory because of it! He always takes your mess and makes a message!

God’s been molding this post in my heart for a bit of time now. I found it so unique that when I returned home from church yesterday I found this in the driveway. It wasn’t dead yet, but was on its way. Let’s use it as an analogy that we are going to stomp on the serpent! He is a liar and wants to defile the Glorious Bride because he knows what a Pioneer you are!

Refreshed In the Midst of Adversity

Posted in Inspirational tagged , , , , , , , , , at 8:21 am by Broken & Brave

When you are in the middle of God’s plan for your life, it may be painful, difficult and it will most definitely challenge you. The challenges will confront you in more than one area most likely.

So why follow God and His Plans? Because my friend, He is out to make you a better man or woman. He wants to see you happy and thriving. He is happy you are alive and He desires for you to get the most out of your life. His plans of blessing toward you may be of such a magnitude He wants to make sure to expand your capacity to receive such a love and abundant blessing. He desires you to contain the full measure He has appointed for you. You’ve not truly experienced what “lavished” can mean.

So whatever grieves, worries or heavies your heart… Whether it is a season or situation that has no respite…God walks the trail with you. He will see you through and the glory of your endeavor will be credited to you. That’s His Promise.

Pursue the greater blessing.

Whatever enslaves, cripples or chills your soul, it will all melt away in the Shine of God’s Sympathy.

God has you. He is giving you undaunted moral courage.

Surround yourself with people who share your vision, passions, beliefs. Find others who are willing to give of themselves to pursue it. It has been my experience that when you step out in risk taking faith, some begin the journey with you, but quit when it gets hard or “takes too long”.

Don’t let that stop you.

There is a season for everything under the sun. Keep moving forward. God will bring others around you who have the strength to rise and stay the coarse with you. You will overcome, if you only believe…

Never. Give. Up.

The more demanding the cost of the dream the more rewarding and respectful the achievement becomes. Absolute Champion! ~Nicole

Pressed at Rest

Posted in Devotional, Inspirational tagged , , , , , , , , at 9:57 am by Broken & Brave

When I was a little girl I was very timid, bashful and shy. I remember my Daddy carrying me on his forearm, holding me close to his chest. There’s such a sense of peace and rest when you have the confidence of another for supplemental strength, especially a father.

Jesus, when in the Garden of Gethsemane prayed to His Heavenly Father for Comfort, Relief and Respite. And in the quiet of the night the Christ knew what he’d been asked to do. He tried to lean on the strength of friends, but they couldn’t even remember to stay awake to pray for him (Matt. 26:40). It was just He and His LORD. But do you know what? He kept looking up because He knew that would be more than enough.

“Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”

Ephesians 6:10

God is with us, watching out for us, every day. There is nothing you can walk through without the assurance He is with you every step of the way. He goes before you, because He adores you and he moves mountains, rocks and gravel from your path. Grab hold of His hand, He always has a marvelous plan.

His love you cannot escape.

When in Israel we travelled through the Garden called Gethsemane where Jesus wept and it was beautiful. Olive trees abounding, some of them 1,500 years old. Talk about longevity! I think this is such a marvelous analogy. When we lean into the Arms of our Heavenly Father, just like the bows of these Olive trees, just like a Daddy, amid the darkest of times, He bestows rays of sunshine, glorious blooms, lush gardens all around you. It is the Garden of Heart He most wants to impart.

God takes full responsibility for your life, trust Him with yours in return. Your trials are the molding vessels that bring Him Honor. And in His time, you will rise.
