Graced to be Great

Posted in health and wellness tagged , , , , , , at 8:24 am by Broken & Brave

We live in such a superficial society.

Appearance is everything and vanity is it’s chief council.

There are countless strategies available to make us look and feel great. Everything from head to toe–you’re covered if you’re willing to spend the time, money and energy to consume what society is selling.

Sustenance is an interesting thing.

I have noticed over many years of my recent life that the more affluent circles of our nations population base are overall more physically fit with healthy weight management. There are exceptions to this, of course, but overall this population of people looks pretty darn good. Most likely this is because they can afford it. Healthy foods cost more than packaged and processed foods. Gym memberships and personal trainers or high end, small, semi-private group training/classes are the trend. The higher end society is looking for something customized to the detail and complete and they are willing to pay money for it.

I think the more affluent community understands that–like it or not–your appearance is your business card.

It can take over eighty encounters with a person to change a negative first impression according to a recent study done at Harvard. So how you look, how you present yourself and how you treat/handle others plays a large roll in how successful you will be at pretty much everything.

I am a health advocate.

An advocate is an ardent defender of people and purpose. It is the purpose God placed inside me to use health and fitness as my ministry.

I’m focused not only on improving strength, flexibility, overall health and vitality, but I’m all about equipping others for victorious living.

I’m all about disease prevention and holistic natural applications of sustenance, rest and movement all packaged in each individual unit.

•I’m about casting vision for the woman who wants to hang with her kids at Disney well in her elder years without needing to sit down a lot or rent a wheel chair just to enjoy the family fun.

•I’m about not being on a myriad of prescribed meds that has people so frightened to even take a multivitamin because it might interfere with their drugs.

• I’m definitely about empowering females to believe in themselves and create a deeper awareness of how wonderful their form is and what strength they possess (physically, spiritual, mentally) and how to harness it.

Relationships of a mentoring nature can be difficult. There is the temptation to personalize and take ownership of the results, successes or failures of other people. But it is not our personal responsibility to fix the world. I can guide, love, protect and direct–but ultimately it’s their life and they are free to make whatever choices they desire, even poor ones.

As the mentor we understand that at the end of the day we leave everyone and everything at the base of the Cross. We did our part and that is all we can do. Then you just pray that the time and energy and sacrifice you put into them will stick and something good will flourish from it.

It could be easy to rehash all the sacrifice and time you’ve invested. The temptation is to feel a sense of disloyalty or lack of gratitude. But that’s not necessarily true, so don’t swallow that bait.

These practical truths I’m sharing with you apply to all of life.

We are all leading someone, somewhere by our conduct, life and example. We are living breathing sustenance to someone else’s soul.

I am fortunate in all my career I’ve only ever encountered one person who I detected may have an eating disorder. In this case, it was anorexia/bolemia. I know the clues to look for, but that was years ago (totally different story from the one I just described). But when I look around society I see many, many in every age group, race and economic category who suffer from a sort of spiritual eating disorder. A Spiritual Anorexia. They are starving to death because they don’t eat the right things. I’m not talking about food, I’m talking about thought patterns, focuses and methods to comfort their own pain. Soul Sustenance. I see people also who see the Truth, whether it is about themselves, God or others, but they refuse to eat it.

Anorexia is ultimately a spirit. It goes after the mind and influences the decisions of the individual causing them to believe skipping meals is somehow the answer to their problems or the solution for controlling their world. Spiritual Anorexia functions the same way. Distorted truth and a reflection of self, others and the world around is skewed. I imagine there are many people who suffer from both, spiritual anorexia and the physical manifestation of the disease. After all, if it is a spirit, it’s going to do as much damage to the whole of a person as it can once its invited inside. Satan’s objective is to steal, kill and destroy.

We are all mentoring others each and every day. What you say and do carries tremendous value and when you know this and take it serious–understanding the big picture of your life’s objective, then you can make a positive impact that will last.

Consider yourself a seed carrier. You are scattering it everywhere. Some seeds will do nothing, find no home to imbed themselves in. Others will find fertile soil of heart with just the right conditions to flourish and grow, while others will only grow so much then stop. This is not up to us to decide who will do what. All we can do is love, avoid personal feelings of hurt, and carry on knowing you’ve done your part and others may enjoy a higher quality of life because of the mark you made upon their heart.

Leadership does not come without great personal sacrifice.

Feed your body the right stuff so it will last.

Feed your heart and mind the right stuff so you will surpass any form of greatness you’ve experienced in the past.

Feed your soul Truth, Love and the Inspired Word of God. It is Pure and Good Sustenance from Above.

And never forget…

Take Joy in the Journey…

You have been sustained by Grace to be Great.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

1 Cor. 10:31

Prayer of Health & Healing:

Thank you, Lord, for the heavy price and sacrifice you paid as a ransom for my mind, body and soul.

It is you I adore.

I show my adoration to you by caring for my body, my spirit, my life.

I understand that I am not my own. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

I trust you to remind me and equip me to overcome with my eating, rest and exercise. I will not overindulge and I will make wise choices. I will not neglect to exercise my frame.

I know I will enjoy good health as you have promised (3 John 1:2)

Whatever I do I will honor you with everything I eat or drink. Remind me of this when I am tempted to dishonor you with my nutrition.

(1 Corinthians 10:31)

I will do all of this with a cheerful heart (Proverbs 17:22)

because your love is like medicine to me.

In all things I will be equipped and my arms strong for my tasks.

I will have no lack of energy or enthusiasm for healthy living.

I will be consistent, disciplined and fervent. (Proverbs 31:17)

I will enjoy the fruit of obedience and faithfulness as you guide with healing and rest.

I am secure and prosperous in all things.

(Jeremiah 33:6)

I will walk obediently in all you ask me to do and I receive my full inheritance, my full blessing of health and prosperity and protection. Just like Exodus 15:26 promises me.

I am whole.

I am healthy.

I am healed.

Overcoming Obstacles To Wellness

Posted in health and wellness tagged , , , , , , , at 4:53 pm by Broken & Brave

The Dirty Dozen

You’ve been working hard. You’ve be faithful to exercise. You’ve been watching what you eat and your portions…but the weight just isn’t coming off like you would like to see. “What’s wrong? Is it just me?” You may be thinking. There is nothing wrong with you. You are not the exception. Here are a few things to consider if this scenario describes you:

1. You cannot out exercise a bad diet. Period. Results are the product of 70-80% nutrition and 20-30% exercise.

2. You are still drinking soda, even diet,   especially diet soda!

3. You are eating too much processed foods. The more natural the foods state the more your body will have to work to digest it. This in itself burns calories and is a workout from the inside!

4. You’ve been dooped by fake health food. You are unknowingly eating snacks you think are healthy little treats or cheats but are really junk food in disguise. This one is huge! Be a label reader. Look for the sugar content.

5. You eat too much sugar even if your calories are low. This includes fruit. Treat fruit like a dessert.

6. You don’t eat enough.

You need quality, frequency and believe it or not, quantity. Too little nutrition and your metabolism will shut down and save every calorie you ingest.

7. You are eating too many calories in the last part of your day.

We call this the sumo wrestler diet. Want to look like a sumo wrestler eat all your calories at night.

8. You aren’t eating enough protein.

Protein is the power house of the cell. All health starts at the cellular level. Feed them what they need!

9. You aren’t drinking enough water.

•how much is enough?

your body weight divided by 2 equals number of ounces you should have each day.

10. You are “rewarding” your hard work with desserts or treats. Scenario: You did fabulous all week with nutrition, portion control and exercise. You indulge in the weekend or special occasion because well, you earned it. Refer back to number 1. You cannot out exercise a bad diet. Don’t self sabotage!

11. You aren’t getting enough rest. The number of hours of sleep/rest you get before midnight is a good indicator of the quality of your overall rest. There is something to be said for early to bed and early to rise. You also need to listen to your body with training. Your body will tell you if you are over training and need a day off. Listen to it.

12. You are a nibbler. You eat a little taste here and there that seem insignificant, but by the end of the day you have several hundred unaccounted for calories going into your body. Illuminate nibbling and you just may find yourself dropping some inches or pounds and gaining ground.

Be a Champion! Honor yourself. Design your success and embrace your beauty. It won’t be reflected in a certain number on the scale, dress size or popping muscle. It will be found in a healthy fit you who feels good and as a result looks good. True health starts within. You can do it! ~Nicole

Prayer of Exhortation

Posted in Prayer of blessing tagged , , at 7:14 am by Broken & Brave

I know you are hurting.

I know you have concerns.

Some of the things you are feeling you aren’t even expressing or sharing. You’re still processing them and trying to put words to them for yourself first.

If you identify with a Sovereign Creator, then you’ve got to look up. Your Source is Constant.

Your Source is a Companion.

Your Source is an able and ever ready Helpmate.

Your God cares deeply for you.

He made you and put a lot into what He has made.

You will never achieve your fullest potential living in shadow. We can learn from others—both what to do and also what not to do. You will always rise highest when you realize what God made you for was wonderful and it doesn’t have to be like any path you’ve ever walked before. God is opening new doors.

The stars mix and mingle and crest the sky to remind us to shine.

The moon dances as the black backdrop enhances its splendor.

The Enemy means the dark thing we walk through to blacken our eye and darken our soul—but God has something more in mind. God uses that which meant to daunt you to elevate you like a shooting star, launching you into an atmosphere so deeply designed just for you— and when you arrive you know exactly what to do because God has equipped you.

Angels watch over you.

Star gazer gaze at you.

Heaven is betrothed to you.

You’ve got a way about you—

Not everyone understands it,

But there are those who do.

Be you…

Be you…

Something intoxicating and special about you.

“Can a woman forget her nursing child,

that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?

Even these may forget,

yet I will not forget you.”

Isaiah 49:15

Allow us to tap into the Star Gazer inside. Lean deep into our chest and crest your glory and etch with your pen an anthem upon our hearts that can only be designed by You. Give us crystal clear vision your plans for our days. Walk with us, each day, as we walk out your plans for us. Give us new hope. Give us reach that brings glory to your kingdom deep. Give us wisdom and divinely guide us and place inside of each of us a stoic and resilient need to excel for you and to be holy, set apart, faithful and true. We rise to the occasion because our hearts rise for you. Bless us and keep us. Let your loving face and heavenly gaze watch over us. You are more. It’s you we adore. Let our hearts never forget it is all for you. May we hear those words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Amen.

***If this word of exhortation is for you—grab hold. God still loves you more than anything your longest, your hottest, your hardest day could bring.

Recover And Replenish

Posted in health and wellness, Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , at 2:39 am by Broken & Brave

Recovery is where growth happens.

Transfix your eyes on Heaven.

Find your calm in His Presence as you learn the subtle art of releasing yourself to Him.

Watermark My Soul

What are you watering your soul with?

No matter who you are- your culture, your income, your status, your experience…we all have a soul and it thirsts. What do you serve it? Soul thirst is similar to physical thirst, but it cannot be quenched with water. It must receive Living Water in order to breathe.

Many fill their lives with endless pursuits, but in the end, they still thirst something they cannot see. Living Water will never leave you empty.

Drink it.

Become saturated with it and then leak it…leak it a lot…onto the heart and soul of others so they may thirst no more.

One of the coolest feelings in the world is not making people feel special about who we are, but about who they are. Isn’t it nice to feel special, if only to One.

The soul is like a well.

When you fill it with that right stuff it is meant to be shared. A well runs deep and that’s where the water is. Pump it and water others and that well won’t run dry as long as you continue to feed it the right things. I mean things like prayerful meditation on God. I mean reading scripture verses. I mean listening to a good message and reading good literature. You are a well of goodness that was meant to overflow-purely-into every soul you come in contact with.

Leave a watermark…

“but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

John 4:14

“The heart that loves is always young.” -Greek proverb

Let us refrain this day to drink in anything that is not of you. You are pure. You are clean. Your tranquil waters run deep and make a heart abound as well as become serene. You cup our hearts and hold our hands and living waters flow. We become carriers of your peace and radiant beams of your glory. We invite you in. Flood our heart. Flood our mind. Occupy our soul. Take ownership that we might be yours completely. This moment is not a moment to ask of you anything. It’s a moment to simply drink of your Presence. Amen.

End Times Army

The Call to Lead

The world doesn’t need any more cheerleaders. It needs leaders. Leaders who serve. Leaders who elevate others above themselves. Leaders who are dead to themselves and fully open to God. Leaders who lead people who know their leaders would let you walk across their back because the leader isn’t afraid of sacrifice. Leaders who aren’t afraid to hold those they lead accountable and know they need accountability themselves.

The world needs leaders who have a crystal clear and concise message. They can look you straight in the eye and keep their pupil laser tight because they have passion and confidence and tell the truth.

The world needs leaders who empower the people.

Nehemiah was a leader like that. He left the comforts of a palace and the favor of a king to help God’s people rebuild themselves. The people had been in captivity (Babylon) so long they had forgotten. They had forgotten what the Bible said. They had forgotten who they were. They hadn’t the strength to wear their armor and protect their blessings. Nehemiah came and showed them how. He read them the Word and told them the Truth. He equipped them and showed them how to fortify their walls and how to keep Sanballet and Tobiah out of God’s Temple. He taught them to stop extorting and taking from one another. He taught them how to be a team and work together. He taught them how to build.

God is raising up men and women like Nehemiah today. People who know who their God is and know who they are. They have a pure heart and a right motive. They are equipping and leading and teaching people how to live a victorious life. They are willing to sacrifice, even lay down their own life (personal rights and freedoms) for a cause greater than themselves. They are the Pure and Spotless Bride. Though they be a Remnant, God is using supernatural means to connect them one to another no matter what region of our nation they reside.

God is coming for a Radiant Bride.

Her garment is gorgeous, but it is heavy (costly). It can only be worn by those who’s hearts are steadfast and heaven’s mantle has prepared for the task at hand.

God has a plan for your life. He will provide the Sacred Appointments and Leadership required to advance. When you advance—hold your stance. For the greatest blessings prove to be faiths greatest test. Prove to be set apart and resilient. Stoic in the faith. Let God set the pace and you will overcome.

“Thus I cleansed them from everything foreign, and I established the duties of the priests and Levites, each in his work; and I provided for the wood offering at appointed times, and for the firstfruits.

“Remember me, O my God, for good.”

Nehemiah 13:31

Go forth a be equipped.

God alone sails the ship.

My Heart Be Still!

Posted in leadership, Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , , , , , , , , at 7:10 am by Broken & Brave

When it is of the Lord—

God will always speak to your potential. He sees your true identity. The one washed in His Perfection and groomed for His Love. When God leads you into deeper levels of intimacy or higher levels of achievement, doing what you haven’t done before, though you may be challenged the challenge will be laced in love. The leadership of heaven leads with love. When the Holy Spirit convicts your soul to make changes or repent it will still be laced with love. When it’s God you ultimately feel better about yourself even when His finger is stirring our hearts. Stirring can be uncomfortable—but discomfort only lasts a night compared to the unspeakable Joy that overtakes your life.

The best way to be happy, find joy, and live a life marked by resilient, stoic and magnetic faith is to allow the Lord to examine us—

heart, mind and soul.

We bow down before our Maker. We humble ourself before our King. We drink of His Healing waters and we ask His Love to purge us of all that is not of Him.

Self examination can be challenging. Love can be painful. Loving others and ourselves requires a sacrifice.

Love until it hurts until there is no more hurt and only Love remains. (Mother Teresa)

Love washes and cleanses. Love gives the blind new eyes to see. Love rejuvenates the soul and gives the heart occasion to sing. Love is the Guidepost on your darkest of nights. Love is the still whisper that quiets your soul at night. Love is gentle, patient, humble and kind. Love engages.

Guard your heart, Beloved. Drown out the noise. Listen, intently, to the Voice of the Holy Spirit. If the words contain wisdom is one thing, but if the words of wisdom are laced with scriptural Love then they have been hemmed above and you will have a certain degree of edification in your soul.

Discernment is a tremendous blessing. Walk in wise counsel of the Holy Spirit. Life may be pulling you in many directions and giving you all sorts of advice. Be gracious-but only do as the Lord leads you. Unshakable pardon He makes everything right. He sees what we cannot. He shakes the earth and loosens the fruit from the trees. Every knee will bow eventually—that’s my King!

be still my heart

An exclamation that something is too exciting or overwhelming for one to bear; literally, that it is causing one’s heart to beat too fast. (

Prayer of Penance and Praise:

Abba God-

What a magnificent Father you are. You are a good Dad. You are gentle. Your eyes are kind. You soak up our laughter and you help us achieve and get after all the grand things of this life we must do. You do things with sway and ever abounding excellence. Engage our hearts to excellence in you. Keep us still just for this one profound moment. Your love make way to the roots of our identity. So then all that would flow from us, through us, over us would nourish us richly like liquid gold. Your love is like no earthly love ever known. You delight in your Created. Give us new eyes. Forgive us our small thinking and toughened hearts. Increase our capacity to give and live in love. Thank you for the sting of the Cross and the pain you endured just to prove your great love for us. We catch it today. We love you! Amen.

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39.

Do It Anyway~

Posted in Prayer of blessing, true story tagged , , , , , , , , at 6:22 am by Broken & Brave

Do it anyway—
Even when it’s not perfect.

Excelling is excellent.

Being raised by parents who instilled something excellent and what that might look like—a truly priceless gift. I wouldn’t change it for anything. Not anything! It is in fact, excellent.

I’ve always had, as long as I can remember, a strong internal fortitude to do well. Not competing kind of well, just well. I don’t like making mistakes. Nobody does, but some shake it off faster than others.

I’m not suggesting that everyone who does to high degree of self standards is as I am, but I know that I have struggled in the past, and once and while still do, with the idea of going ahead and doing something anyway if I can’t do it well.

Did I try hard enough?

Did I communicate effectively enough?

Did I Love hard enough?

Did I…Did I…Did I.

Death by over analysis!

But something has happened over the years—God has engaged me and lead me to do things without being fully prepared. He began in my twenties when I was placed in situations where I noticed that what was being done around me…I could do that! It wasn’t me being critical or negative at all, it was a blessing because what I saw wasn’t excellent, but it wasn’t bad either, but God blessed it. So I began to learn to try and since then I’ve not looked back, but have always struggled with the desire to hold back.

I have had and am currently having a season so full of disparaging circumstances it is all a bit too much to manage.

In those situations in real life I find it best to just say nothing. Do your best, but don’t try to explain anything. Let whoever think whatever (even when what they are thinking is untrue).

Just keep getting better.

Just keep doing what God has equipped and asked you to do.

I read a devotional today that just pulled it all together and inspired my pen. So here’s my two cents for today, I hope it proves priceless to you.

Doing things with excellence, having a high personal standard of character, giving your best, does not have to be the same as perfectionism. It doesn’t matter how well you do a job. Sometimes we juggle a lot and it’s out of our control, we can’t take anything off our plate, so we rest because we know God is the one blessing our efforts.

Sometimes we speak with love and show kindness, but the recipients either don’t want it or reject it.

Sometimes we do our best, toward excellence, but it just isn’t enough.

Everyday, try your best knowing that your best may look a little bit different every single day. Yesterday’s best may look different from today’s. Shake it off. It’s alright.

As long as you keep trying and most importantly keep obeying the Spirit of God. Then you don’t need to worry about the outcome, God’s got it. You don’t need to worry about those who don’t get you or misrepresent you. God’s got it.

You don’t need to “kill” yourself to achieve at high levels or to please the unappeasable, God holds it.

God has been asking me to write everyday and increase posting in my social pages. Sometimes He asks for a lot of writing. Sometimes He tells me to pull back and feed little. On high volume days it is sometimes hard to have enough time to write a blog I can be proud of. My website is taking longer than I thought to finish. It’s a long story, but for several years I’ve been reduced to doing all of my writing on my phone. If you even knew what an added challenge that was. So many times despite rigorous editing typographical errors slip. Not excellent. But God knows what He’s doing. So I write anyway. I write with the knowledge it has all been by His Design. Somethings aren’t forever, but they are for now and you’ll find ways to get through it with perseverance, patience and ultimately–His Power.

In life, some will think your more wonderful than you feel you deserve. Some will think far less of you than you truly deserve. And some will love you and want to know you and have you in their life. God can have His perfect plan, but all along He has been wonderful about giving the choice. You can’t make others desire your company any more than you can be perfect. You can’t have an absolute perfect career without roadblocks, obstacles and glitches.

We all have problems, some manage them better and some don’t. Either way, do what you can and do it anyway. It may not be perfect, but it will be done.

The key my friends is to know who you and are and whom you belong to. When you know who you are you realize that being you is wonderful. And others want you.

I notice many people rationalize their hearts. Instead, may I suggest start realizing you’ve been perfectly designed by the Perfect One. He works with all of our rough spots, bumps and even our bruises and scars. He’s the one who blesses everything.

The second it becomes about anything else, it’s not of Him.

So do it anyway, even when it’s not perfect.

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Phil. 1:6

Prayer of Blessing~

You are perfectly loved by this Perfect Love. Hand in glove this dove, pristine white, pursues your heart infinitely like the band of gold. He is eternal. He is pure. He is radiant and He thinks you are wonderful. So be held. He healed. Be whole.

“Be who you are and be that well.” Frances de Sales

Start Strong Finish Stronger!

Posted in Inspirational, leadership tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 7:44 am by Broken & Brave

Many people start strong, have stellar intentions and are highly excited and motivated to do great, to become great and even a pure intention to bring great glory and blessing to God. But what I have observed and am painfully aware of is that not everyone finishes strong who started strong. See—just like the Israelites in the wilderness—it is the long strength in between, when things get tough, rough or lean that there becomes a separation between those with deep conviction of heart and stoic grit to get after it and those who gain, complain and remain and don’t finish the race.

When God makes extraordinary promise He puts His stamp of love on it, but He rarely tells you what has to come in between to properly prepare the conditions of the scene and our hearts for the responsibility the blessing will bring. God is always actively preparing me and preparing you by the tests and trials we walk through. Will we be faithful? Will we be stoic? Will we possess and broad smile and winning attitude? Will we do everything without complaining?

Murmuring got the Israelites into a lot of trouble. I believe a big reason why, when the Israelites were to take the fortress of Jericho, they weren’t to speak at all as they walked around the walls. God knew it would only take one to speak a complaint or a fearful or doubtful thought to crumble the courage of the entire body of people. He needed what started strong to remain strong.

How about you? Do you have days of discouragement and doubt? Sometimes we have confidence in God’s promises, but our desire to follow through grows thin. Those are the days you have to dig deeper, maybe even lose a little sleep, just to spend ample time sitting at your Maker’s feet allowing Him to literally care for your cares and encourage your soul like a parent holding their child.

When I think about the number of people who have passed through my life because they quit—it is a painful thing. Many a people I loved dearly walked away simply because they just didn’t have the stoic faith to walk in extreme obedience to God. You can see the same thing in training others physically. All have goals, dreams and desires, but over time the crowd thins out and those with the deepest resolve and strength are the ones who keep going despite the odds against their success. Life happens—it what you do with the obstacles and how you handle the setbacks or delays.

A Champion doesn’t allow these things to derail them. They understand God might be using them to set a grander stage. The tougher the terrain, the longer the wait, the more the tide rises, the more evident it becomes who is really with you and who isn’t. Here’s what I know—God never quits. Every bump or hurdle He is right beside you helping you get over it. So whatever is holding you back, get over it! Gods got it and He’s got you, too.

Think of all the Israelites who never saw the promised land because they grumbled, complained, whined, doubted and quit. But God preserved a remnant and this remnant finished it and tasted and saw God’s Goodness to the end right smack dab in the center of a “land flowing with milk and honey”.

My experience has shown me over and over again that extreme obedience brings extreme blessing. We don’t obey for the blessing. We obey because we love God. When you love someone you want to please them. But God is good in tangible ways, too. So He reaches down for me and pulls me close. Sometimes the best analogy I can give of how He blesses me is a courtship. He is a beau wanting to impress me so He peacocks around and showers me with time, attention, blessings….my heart swoons for him, my Sacred Romance.

Extreme obedience brings extreme blessing.

Start Strong, Finish Stronger.

Your Voice Matters

Posted in Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , , at 6:52 am by Broken & Brave

Prayer is like a love letter to heaven.

Let it stoke your hearts Joy and yield exuberant belief.

If you don’t think prayer matters–it does.

Don’t think your little voice makes a difference? Well, it does.

All the gates of Hell cannot contain the smallest prayer offered up in genuine belief that there is a God who not only hears, but He cares, and He lowers His Crown and He stoops down low to take note of what you are saying.

Let’s build faith…reflect this moment on something God answered that you prayed for. Recapping victories builds faith and restores praise in the heavenly realm which is an active weapon of warfare. Stuff happens when we pray! Hinges become unglued! Door fling open! Gardens are watered~ lush goodness and pleasing aromas begin to come out of us!

Prayer Matters because you matter.

God doesn’t just answer other people’s prayers. He answers your prayers, too.

Sometimes it’s ok to pray giant prayers with tiny faith and trust God’s faith to make up the difference. Just say a little prayer. It doesn’t need to be fancy. Ask God for help when you need it. Don’t be afraid of Him. He isn’t out to get you. He thinks you’re beautiful. He designed you after all.

Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder. Be held.

We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

Father, extend your Mighty hand of mercy to your Beloved today. Extend virtue, hope, health, healing and peace in their mind. Take their every thought captive and make it conform to your glory and your image. Increase the luster and shine of purity. Purity of heart, mind and soul. We know purity is about a heart reflection not our actions, but our actions reflect our heart. So give your people a jump start. Shift their mindsets to see how loved they are and to know how lovable they can be. Reach into their hurt and pain and broken places and repair it as only you can do. Bring healing oil and salve like only you can massage through. There is no touch like yours. Gentle hands and a soft soul. Reach deep. Bless your people with sleep. I pray anyone struggling of heart mind and soul reading this will experience a Joy overflow by day and sleep comfortably by night. Hold them tight. Your arms are a custom fit. Your shoulders wide, you security a safe place to delight. Hold us now… Amen.

Blessings my friends!

Shake It Out!

Posted in Inspirational, Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , , , , , , , at 5:54 am by Broken & Brave

Nothing is forever. Change comes to us all. You don’t have to listen to the idle chatter—even when it’s coming from between your own two ears.

When something is the matter look up.

Because doubt looks down

and worry looks around.

When we keep our gaze fully where it needs to be it doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing.

You must do what is best for you.

What is it you need?

What is it your family needs?

How will you intercede?

Wash away fear, doubt and worry. Make it flee in a hurry. A few months back I enjoyed a tour of the Middle East, Israel in particular. While there I received the honor of being baptized in the Jordan River. A highlight of the trip for me.

As I dipped in the Jordan the chill of the crisp waters struck my heart, my chest. I gasped for deep breath. At first it left me breathless and hoping I’d overcome. It was cold. But refreshing of heart, mind and soul.

When our heart is truly captivated by Christ, He holds our gaze despite what is going on around us. Whether it is good or bad, He is the Center.

So even when life sends us a shocking chill, a properly aligned heart will get a thrill in seeing what God will do through it all. We will anticipate with Joy how God will make it all shake out.

Last week my husband and I received news that shook us to the root. But our Peace never waivered an ounce. In fact, it increased. And in the aftermath we are receiving calls from people nationwide telling us how unique, things John and I have spoken prophetically since the very early 2000’s is coming to pass, but in the most unexpected way! We’ve been waiting for this moment, but had no idea the shape the promise would take.

Sometimes the fulfillment of a promised dream from God will require the death of a dream. It’s a type and shadow of Christ for modern day. God lets it die (or nearly come to its end—could be a relationship, a business, a church or organization). But oh how glorious the resurrection.

Mine is a God of the Blood Covenant.

God doesn’t do things the way man does them. He is far more interesting than us.

God doesn’t think like a man thinks.

Hs mind far more complex with intellect than that.

God doesn’t do as we would do.

He’s a much better planner than we are.

God sees the forecast for all of eternity. He always plans accordingly.

But my God is so enormously kind.

My God displays unmatchable kindness!

Despite all things, there is a Super-Natural King who is enthralled with your Beauty. There isn’t always a right or wrong answer. God will guide the matters of life you need to decide. Look up… I actually believe the best is yet to breath.

So inhale, deeply….

“…For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

1 Samuel 16:7

Prayer over you~

Thank you, Lord. Your kindness is the reason I’m a believer. You have always tucked yourself deep within my heart. And when I am away or distracted, I can feel your gaze on my soul, communicating to me that when I am gone you miss me. When you are gone, Beloved, the God of all Eternity misses you.

Though you are not like us Lord, you are like us. We are created in your image. Thank you that you are too wonderful to exalt yourself in such a way we can’t draw near. You, despite your grandeur, stoop down and pull close to hear the considerate prayers of your people. We lift up the prayers of all reading this. They each have an individual assignment on earth and they have troubles to. Guide their path. Give them eyes that see your plans more clearly. Give them ears that hear purely. Help them to realign the way they perceive, receive and communicate with their Maker. You are the God of Intimacy. Create in all of us a deep hunger for Truth. And may we never be satisfied with any form of a lie. Sometimes a lie is nothing more than a mind that rationalizes it’s choices. Lord, use your voice. Be our choice. Speak Peace to your people. By the Lamb’s Blood, it’s done! Amen.
