Innovate

Posted in Inspirational, true story tagged , , , , , , , , , , , at 7:31 am by Broken & Brave

Perseverance is a necessary precursor to anything great…

Here is a historical example of people to be grateful for their ability to dream big and persevere…Orville and Wilbur Wright, the creators of the first airplane.

When these two brothers were boys their father gave them a toy helicopter made of cork, paper and a rubber band. This was their source of inspiration to become the first men to fly for the first time a free, controlled flight by a power-driven airplane. Did you know that Wilbur didn’t even receive his high school diploma? I challenge you to research all the trials they had in their efforts to develop this plane. It wasn’t easy. They had all kinds of things go wrong. Then, when they did fly, no one believed them and many didn’t even appreciate their achievement. Instead of becoming discouraged and giving up, they persisted without exception and took their invention to Europe in hopes of further success and they found it. Once returning to the US they were wealthy and famous and began filling contracts for airplanes in both the United States and Europe.

Don’t quit. Never fail to believe that God can and is willing to do anything to show up and show off for you. Believe it! Behind every storm the Son is still shining. ⛅️~Nicole

I woke early this am with the words…a strand of three cords can not be easily broken…rolling about in my head.

God is like a fighter pilot going off to battle to war against every negative thing that comes against your heart and soul. He guards over you like a buried treasure. Others see the exterior, the package and the wrapping so to speak. But God sees beneath all of that to something much deeper…the real gift and measure of his pleasure. He sees your heart, mind and soul. So he goes to war and famishes the wants and desires of Adversities appetite by refusal. He thwarts every wicked scheme the Enemy of your Soul prepares, and he defeats it in advance before it has any real teeth.

Sometimes we feel the sting or prick of being bit in life-but it’s got no real bite. When we allow our Captain to be our Guide we survive. We escape. The ravages of adversities flames may lick at us, but they cannot have us.

Yoke your heart to the One who is Faithful, Stoic, Fierce, Friendly, Gentle, yet full of Valor. He is strategic in all of plans and purposes for your life. Tie your heart to him. Anchor your Hope. Designate your faith. Release your heart with abandon to his grace and allow love to take its proper place.

He will Restore every broken or dead branch with new life. He will surround you with supplemental strength and add his kisses to your life. He will hold you from the inside and it will be better than any hug you’ve ever had– for he knows how to reach in deep and fondle the soul of every man. His love is deep. He will lay a foundation and structure a few strands of longevity with others who are willing to walk the path beside you. God can do whatever he wants, but he tends to want to see us do crazy amazing things and he plants vision in those around you who are equipped to help see you through. But more than anything else–he is with you.

Whatever you face today. Whatever you are going through. Whatever seeks to devour you…you have no reason to fear, worry or feel alone.

God is in your corner.
Rise up.
Take your day.
Be brave.
You are not alone.
💛

“Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

Slay…

Feed the hungry and slay your giant...

“Then Jesse said to his son, David, ‘Take now for your brothers an ephah of this dried grain and these ten loaves, and run to your brothers at the camp. And carry these ten cheeses to the captain of their thousand, and see how your brothers fare, and bring back news of them.'” 1 Samuel 17:17-18

Sometimes our Heavenly Father sends us into a situation that turns out to be an opposing giant in our life. We can be tempted to think, “if I hadn’t obeyed my Father I wouldn’t be in this situation.” But because we love our Father, as David did so his, we obey, just as David.

Your giant could be difficulties at work, or maybe a health scare, maybe your household is turned upside down or your finances in disarray. Your giant could even be something opposing your faith. But God, Abba Father, knew what He was doing when He picked you. He knew it was you He wanted to send with provision for the situations of life at hand. Your entire life is a Divine Assignment when your heart is in proper alignment with Heavens Signature Pen. He knew…

Though you may seem small in your situation or the least of your resources…He knew you were really great. He sees what’s inside. He knows He crafted you with superb ingredients. He knows the kind of food you bring to every avenue of this life you lead.

So, He put His Word in your heart and it extols the Lord. When you share your heart others are fed. It doesn’t matter what you do for a living or what your giant is- you’ve been sent to the battle line to face it, overcome it and sustain others from your experience. God has you strategically placed right where you are at for His purpose sake.

Run to the battle line, do not shrink back, and watch your Father pull a sling shot from His pouch, face the Giants of life through you and with one shot knock them out!

All by the power of the Cross. Embrace the journey…
It is meant to be extraordinary!

with skillful hands he led them.”

Build Yourself Up

Posted in true story tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 9:39 am by Broken & Brave

“A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.”
Luke 6:40

Years ago I was blessed to receive some in depth instruction and training from some premier Doctors in the field of nutrition and preventative medicine. I soaked in and learned enormously from these two men. I was able to obtain my training on audio and would play it over and over in my car. The more I learned and grew, the more I began to sound like these two doctors, full of the knowledge and wisdom they had generously passed on. It was a very cool experience and a rich blessing as I have had a passion and interest in health, wellness and nutrition most of my life. I studied nutrition in depth in college and now I find myself surrounded by people who are highly successful in a field I am passionate about. God put these people in my life to help me grow and learn more and pursue my God given dream to help people build a lasting legacy of longevity, disease free with high functioning mobility.

Whatever your life holds and whatever your journey entails, be mindful that God will give you exactly the instruction you need when you need it. If you are eager and ready He will bring the right resource to you to help you grow and learn what you need in order to achieve the dream, goal or desire. So don’t give up! Even if you make a lot of mistakes along the way, when you keep trying you will eventually deepen with understanding and get it right. Pay attention as God may bring people in your life who will add value, springing you forward and lifting you up. It is true, the only ones who fail are those who quit. Don’t quit! ~Nicole

Cluck or Soar?

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , at 6:59 am by Broken & Brave

You can cluck with the ducks or soar like an eagle…

It’s easy to have an opinion. Criticism is never difficult to find and it’s very easy to get sucked into negative words, gossip and here say. But when we gather together and complain we become like a crowd of ducks clucking. Quack! Quack! Quack! It could get old listening to that and it does little productive outside of weighing a person down to the point they might drown in negativity.

I don’t know about you, but I prefer clear skies and space to fly. I’d rather soar with the eagles than cluck with the ducks.

“When it rains, most birds head for shelter; the Eagle is the only bird that, in order to avoid the rain, starts flying above the cloud.” ~Unknown

We see examples of ducks and eagles in the Word of God:

•Joshua and Caleb=eagles; they spied out the promise land and said it was flowing with milk and honey and they could take the Giants. Ducks=everyone who spied with them and said it wasn’t possible. (Cluck. Cluck. Cluck.)

“Caleb told the people to be quiet and listen to Moses. Caleb said, “Let’s go now and take possession of the land. We should be more than able to conquer it.”

But the men who had gone with him said, “We can’t attack those people! They’re too strong for us!” So they began to spread lies among the Israelites about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored is one that devours those who live there. All the people we saw there are very tall. We saw Nephilim there. (The descendants of Anak are Nephilim.) We felt as small as grasshoppers, and that’s how we must have looked to them.” Numbers 13:30-33

•Gideon was an eagle because he believed God when He was told he could take the battle, but only if he released all kinds of soldiers first and did it at a deficit. The ducks? Everyone who agreed to leave the first round and told Gideon they were too afraid and didn’t want to fight.

“When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, ‘The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.’lJudges 6:12

•David was an eagle. Even as a young boy he had the stellar confidence in God by his side and knew he could slay a giant. The ducks? Everyone at the battle field who stood around trembling and doing nothing, including the King.

“David said to Saul, ‘Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.'”
1 Samuel 17:32

Sometimes eagles have moments when they are squeaking a bit like a duck. They have moments of doubt. That’s ok. It’s normal. It’s about picking yourself back up and pressing in. Elijah did. Immediately after performing a huge miracle he ran and hid in a cave because he heard Jezebel the wicked queen of Ahab was hunting him. After refreshing himself with some Living Water in that cave he pulled himself and his courage together and roared as he soared to the battle line. He defeated Jezebel with God’s help. He had to do nothing, she fell from her balcony. But he never gave up.

“Ahab told his wife Jezebel what Elijah had done and that he had killed the prophets. She sent a message to Elijah: ‘You killed my prophets. Now I’m going to kill you! I pray that the gods will punish me even more severely if I don’t do it by this time tomorrow.’ Elijah was afraid when he got her message, and he ran to the town of Beersheba in Judah.”

1 Kings 19:1-3

Many start strong. Many want on board when life is good and blessings are abundant. It’s the true warriors, God’s eagles, who continue to rise and fly when opposition and adversity is high. They have their eyes fixed on what’s ahead. They have vision and courage to cut through the storm and find sanctuary above it. They rise above, every time.

Many begin well, but fail to finish well. Stay your course. It doesn’t matter what the situation and circumstances around you look like. Sometimes we know God is up to something big when the stakes are high and we are called to rise and fly like we never have before. We know He has priceless and precious blessing in store and wants our hopes grounded and rooted in Him. He desires us prepared and equipped for the responsibility of it all.

Remain strong and resilient.
Fortitude resides within you.
Finish well.
Finish strong.
Block out the noise of those ducks who are complaining.
You are special and unique.
You were made to fly.
Spread your wings, now, give it a try.

Your best is yet to come.

You Won’t Go Under

Posted in Devotional, true story tagged , , , , , , at 5:25 am by Broken & Brave

You Won’t Go Under

Yesterday was yet another full and hectic day-but deep down I know wouldn’t have it any other way. I have a large family, clients who want training and a car that takes me wherever I want to go. I am indeed blessed. The afternoon was spent poolside at the school watching my son play in a water polo match. Those boys swim back and forth and track that yellow ball as they attempt to shoot and score. Sometimes they get pulled at to keep them from advancing and sometimes they egg beater their kick under water and rise higher-so high you can see their waste above water-and they hit the mark and advance the entire team toward victory.

Sometimes life can make you feel like you might drown. The demands on our schedules, the need to be in multiple places at one time; maybe it’s a health restriction or financial decision that has to be made and you’re feeling kind of frayed. There is a God in Heaven who won’t let you go under. His roar is loud like thunder and his touch gentle and true. He will uplift you from under and you will rise to the demand with a smile at his wonderful plans just like those boys rise high when they are about to shoot. God is using the demands and pressures of life to make you shine bright and give you the best heart conditioning for this thing we do–Life! He’s got you. So take aim, find your mark, and let Him be exalted. -Nicole

Becoming Unskinkable… Unthinkable?

Posted in Devotional, true story tagged , , , , , , , , , at 6:25 am by Broken & Brave

“Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass”
1 Thes. 5:24

Noah believed and held onto a promise of God for his life for many, many years. He endured insults, rejection and jeers-but that didn’t keep him from putting one foot in front of the other, hammer to the hull. Not only did everything the Lord told him happen, he saved his family from despair and he created a marvelous invention that had never been seen, required or desired before. Talk about a Visionary!

Next time you see a boat of any kind-remind yourself of Noah. He did the unthinkable and became unsinkable.

Hold onto your promises, move toward the Lord and His reward and watch yourself become unsinkable, too. That’s what God would want you to do. ~Nicole

Action Steps of Courage

Posted in Devotional, Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , at 4:59 am by Broken & Brave

Your Courage Counts;
Don’t be Overwhelmed

A step forward can be great gain when we use it to give Glory to His Name. You’re steps are Chosen. His Path for you clear. He has seen each one before you ever took one. Think about that. Have confidence in that! You can only bubble over with the Hope and Glory knowing you will have a Banner Year! No matter what you face today-it is building in you a foundation for brighter days…if you will just keep going!

Hope has an anthem and it sings in my heart. What is it that Hope has infused in your heart? Sing it! Use it to make a difference. God put you here to add value to the world. Do not count yourself out. Do not discount your value.

YOU COUNT in countless ways! ~Nicole
