Known & Loved

You have been known by heaven since the beginning, but when God looks at you He always sees the final outcome.

He knows who you are and how to groom you for your role on this earth. By His Power, His Call, His Anointing you can do all things. But the good news on top of this good news is that He won’t ask you to do everything. That is truly good news! He will never spread you paper thin. In moment or seasons of stretching it may seem he has and intends to leave you that way. But that’s simply not true. He knows the depths of you and what elasticity of will, grit and soul you have. He knows you will bounce back and like a mighty arrow prepares to launch—adversity will propel you forward. It is inevitable and it’s evident all throughout the scriptures.

When we advance there is a season of subtraction (testing, difficulty, suffering…seed sowing) and a season of multiplication (that is blessing, fulfilled dreams and promises, the harvest of blessing for seeds sown in the past) follows in the future whether immediate or down the road.

Is life stretching you?
Do you feel paper thin from the demands of schedule or life?
Are you fretting over things you don’t even know will happen but fearful of anyway?
Is God asking you to step your foot into His River and take a calculated risk?

Whatever it is He is drawing you to, He will indeed equip you. If He called for it, He will be in it alongside of you. You will be able to do what’s necessary, too.
If you are soft spoken, don’t be surprised if you become inclined to have the bold roar of Christ.
If you have always been the least, don’t be too uncomfortable when He puts you out front. Struggle to finish school? Well, don’t be shocked if you become a keynote speaker for a college graduation. God’s just ridiculously awesome like that. He will take your greatest weakness and with them create in you great strength.

He knows who you are when He sees you and He likes what He sees. Time for you to start liking you, too. He knows the beginning from the end and walks with you hand in hand all the days in between. Even when life looks lean—His love reigns abundant and supreme…that’s a good thing.

You are more.

Crowned & Able

“But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for [b]God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

The world measures and weighs worth, status, influence and appeal by many measures, but none of them measure up to the evaluation protocol of Heaven.

David was least of all of his family. He had older brothers who were capable, able and strong. He was young. He was inexperienced. He was maybe even a bit naive. But God didn’t look at any of those things. God had a heart that is always hinged on both our heart and His bigger outlook on the future. He cares more about the desires and intent of the heart than anything. He is well able to work with our personal deficiencies, shortcomings and faults. Plus, the more we understand it is He at work within us, the less likely we are to become proud and boastful that our measure of success are of our own fruitful efforts.

God is deeply under the persuasion of love to earnestly and perpetually pursue you. He is, in fact, in pursuit of our hearts daily, hourly and even moment by moment.

Do you ever feel less than? Are you the least of your “clan”? Are you undecided about how the prospects of your future look?

Rest decided in the arms of heaven today. God has angles and access and a point of view that has more clarity than anything you have ever walked through, endured or tried to escape. He has a signet ring for your finger, a royal robe to drape upon your back and His Mantle doesn’t cluster wrath, but will give you a bath in all things good, refreshing and pure. He means to show you just how good He can be and that He didn’t hang from a Tree just for anything…He hung there specifically for YOU.

So stand tall today. Hold your chin high, but only so you can keep your eyes to the sky as you watch your Maker lavish your soul with Splendor. He means to bring you blessings that earthly measures cannot Tender.

Heaven has decided it’s heart on you. Every morning those Mercies are new…just for you. You’ve got an exclusive deal of God’s affection. He is big enough to spread His wealth of love all around.

You are more than enough!

Ridiculous & Awesome

Posted in Inspirational, true story tagged , , , , , , , , , , , at 7:31 am by Broken & Brave

I was the type that had huge faith and confidence in God to do ridiculously awesome things for others, but had less faith for myself. I think many are like that. That all changed in 2000 when I saw God do ridiculous amazing and lavish miracles for me for no reason other than to prove to me how much he loved me. It worked.

John was going to Australia for the Sydney Olympics. He had just returned from a two week trip to Europe with the college Basketball team. I was home with two very small children. I wanted to go to Australia, too! But we really couldn’t afford such an 11th hour trip (the track and field trials were only a few weeks before the games and John’s athlete was paying his way if she made the team). I wanted to go but saw no way. Then I felt the Lord stoking my faith and daring me to infuse my hope. So I told my husband and he told me to step in faith and get my passport ordered. I had no clue where my birth certificate was. I hunted all over. Then I said a prayer, “God, if you want me to get my passport you have to show me where my B.C. is.” I had barely said, “Amen” when I walked past a small bookcase in my room. A book on the shelf was leaning off the edge and against the floor. Get this…as I leaned down and tucked the book back in its home the book right next to it fell out into the floor and opened to a page that was bookmarked with my birth certificate! Why I used it as a book mark and when I’ll never remember, but God remembered and made a way where there seemed to be none! God will always arrive in the nick of time! He’s got you, no matter what you’re going through! Be encouraged💗 ~Nicole
