Take A Bite!

There is an old saying that goes, “How do you eat an elephant?”

The answer, “One bite at a time.”

What does this old idiom mean? It actually has nothing to do with elephants at all. It means when a task, trouble or struggle seems too big, too ominous you need to stop looking at the size of the task and break it down into small and manageable increments. Anything can overwhelm, but when we take every day as they come, knowing full well that God is measuring your Desire to be more like Him and if He knows you are honestly trying, He is more than pleased. Could you imagine on the day of your Salvation Jesus giving you a Diploma and saying, “Congratulations, now from this day forward, you will look exactly like me, talk exactly like me and walk, exactly like me…no exceptions.” Not at all! If that were so it would defeat the entire purpose for the Cross! He knows we aren’t perfect or flawless. We will never stop making mistakes because we are human and failed by Adam’s original sin. It’s ok. So embrace all the Teacher has for you each and every day. You are a winner in His book. He made you and is very proud of all the Creative Wonder and Ability He has established in you. When you feel discouraged, or hard on yourself, remember my words. You are beautiful through and through and Jesus just can’t take his eyes off of you…

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1

Kingsize Love👑

Posted in Devotional, Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , at 6:35 am by Broken & Brave

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

A deep love for God is received by His Grace, but as we show our love back to Him we follow Him where ever He leads. If it be through treacherous terrains, sleet, storms, tornadoes, or a scorching dessert sun…this is the road less travelled that leads to His Treasures of Heart. It doesn’t matter how it “looks”, we merely “Go”.

Moses, with his back against the Red Sea was on the road less travelled and he was delivered Triumphantly.

David had to hide in a cave to preserve his name, but not a stitch on the hem of his gown was prevented from bringing him a crown.

Esther presented herself before a King, knowing full well she may surely perish…but she didn’t.

And God Himself wrapped up in Love for you that ran so deep, He crawled through a Cross to be near to you. But his soul the grave couldn’t keep.

That’s the kind of thing True Love will do. ~Nicole

Honesty

Noah Webster (1758-1843), a Connecticut born man, studied law at Yale and had a passion for teaching. Whenever Webster saw a need for something he sat down and wrote an essay about it. He poured out his heart through his pen. Mr. Webster wrote the “Blue Back Speller” and by it brought a standard of excellence and unity to the English language via vocabulary and pronunciation. Mr. Webster did something else that made him great that seems to have slipped off the plate in the United States of things worthy and esteemed…

Noah Webster petitioned the government and established copyright protection for authors. By this law it is illegal to plagiarize or publish the writing of others without buying it. Intellectual property is property just the same.

My children attend a local private high school where they are required to turn every essay they write into a nationally used website for review. This website is for the prevention and detection of plagiarism. I sometimes wonder what would happen if social media-among other avenues of communication-had such a site to turn in everything we “publish” on our timelines?

Moral Character and Integrity are of the founding attributes that made America Great. Is it too late to reinstate?

God is coming back for a Victorious Bride. Her Light shining bright, her heart luminous with Hope and her moral compass securely intact. ~Nicole

“I will pay attention to living a life of integrity— when will I attain it? I will live with integrity of heart in my house.” Psalm 101:2

Lady In Waiting

“But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Cor. 13:13

Love is patient and kind. It looks out for others. It thinks of itself less and others more. Love is gentle and quiet yet possesses all the roar of a lion or the fiercest ocean at storm. Love does not compromise and it is pristine. Love is all things classy.

Esther, Ruth, Mary the mother of Jesus, three women who I imagine knew how to keep it classy as they loved beyond their capacity to understand. They did it for the good of their common man. They lived a life worthy of esteem to be an example of Proverbs 31 woman kind of living.

Class is elegant. It is a disposition that maintains a posture of peace and position. It is regal in its own sort of way. It understands the beauty found in simplicity. It is meek and humble. It is gentle and easy, yet it is a yolk of the Lord not easily handled. It is costly like precious metals and gems, and it shines with brilliance.

The best kind of bling isn’t found in a ring, but in the heart that possesses the sweet residue of Heaven. Hold you head high today, Ladies. For you are each God’s Lady in Waiting. He’s got goodness in store for you. I believe in you, too! ~Nicole
