Survivor

“A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.” Psalm 91:5

You are a Survivor. Though many things may have come against you in your life, it did not succeed. You’re still here, still breathing. So believe and know it is not without purpose. Whatever tragedy you have survived. Whatever calamity has crossed the path of your life. You have made it and…

God will use it to your advantage for whatever it is he has in store for your life.

I’ve been hit by a car as a pedestrian while crossing the street, I’ve been run off the highway by an 18 wheel vehicle. I passed out while in water and almost drown. I experienced severe complications during pregnancy that without modern technology would have taken me out. I’ve had a wealth of other trials and tribulations, but nothing matters more than the fruit of God’s Love, Joy, Peace and Anointed Comfort I received in return. Nothing matters more than God’s incredibly tenacious ability to pursue your heart because nothing brings him more Joy than sharing His Presence with you. And I dare say, Heaven enjoys your company, too. He is a very relational God. He is like a cool drink of water on a hot summer day. He has the unspoken ability to wash your cares away and leave you feeling refreshed even when life feels like a mess.

I’m still here and so are you.

Gods got some amazing stuff for us to do! Enjoy every single day like its a brand new YOU and, my oh my, how marvelous the day looks on you!

Whatever it is that remains in your heart to do…heaven is merely paving the way for your break through. Never give up. Don’t quit. Your life is making a beautiful impact that will only grow if you stay with it.

Warrior

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , at 6:41 am by Broken & Brave

It is either in you…or it isn’t.

In the end, the deepest passion, rooted in absolute valor may be planted within One who doesn’t “look” the part.

ONE.

“Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn’t even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.”

There is a Warrior within you.

Life is an incredible journey, not one grand occasion, but a collection of moments to be treasured, decisions to be made and opportunities to be discovered. Seize each day, for it is a new day and so much rich opportunity is there to be found if we only dare to break the mold of the mundane, the commonplace, the ordinary. Don’t you know you are anything BUT ordinary!

Uncommon are the Warriors and they are always uniquely groomed in uncommon and unlikely circumstances so God can demonstrate how effectively He means to use them for Holy Combat.

You are girded and equipped with everything you need to succeed. He will raise your hands as Moses’ hands were raised to praise by those God has placed around you. (Exodus 17:12, 13)

Praise God for His Goodness. Hunger for his Power.

“for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.” 1 Thes. 1:5

Your desire for more of Him will not be denied. The Warrior within is a zealous and stoic kind.

The Bride of Christ is dressed pristine, pure and white, but His Bride is also a Warrior.

Do not be discouraged.
Don’t give up.
Look up and give a shout of praise.
You are Heavenly Made.
Perhaps God sees strength in you you don’t even know about yet?

Strong

To be physically strong, you must do physically strong things.
To be spiritually strong you must do spiritually strong things.

These are both two different things-
yet, they are connected and can be the same thing.

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.” Eph. 6:11

Never lose your Hope.

Sometimes even when you are trying to do the right thing, wrong things happen. Tis true for everyone. Do not become discouraged in your efforts to do well.

Finish Strong.

The only people who fail are those who quit. So if you don’t quit, you win. Win what? Well, that depends, but the prize is never about “beating someone” unless it’s an athletic event. Winning is about personal growth, discipline, expanding personal potential.

Winners know how to manage their complaints. They understand that negativity will sabotage your own ability to persevere. So, instead of recapping past bad experiences in fear of their reoccurrence, recap your miracles and declare the reoccurrence of the good! God means for you to win! So don’t quit!

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.” James 1:2-3

Finish Strong.

God knew how your life would look all along. He’s got you!

When you are in the world-but not of it-you will feel the pressures all around. Ah, but God, He will give Grace to rise above it. Beautiful.

God causes my heart to marvel every single day.

YOU have the brave heart as that of a lion; the absolute ROAR of the Father ignites in your soul. Rise up Champion! For you, Gods got MORE! Do you believe it? How much is an abundance anyway?

Follow your heart, it has instinct. Take courage, dreams have lofty price tags. Follow your path, it is your own.

Nothing will be impossible for you…
So go ahead and ROAR!

Healthy Habits

Posted in Devotional tagged , , , , , , at 6:57 am by Broken & Brave

Anything you do with consistency you get better at. If you want to get stronger, you will move and use your body everyday in some way. Even if it’s not a trip to the gym, you’ll do something that exerts energy. If you want to get healthier you’ll eat nutritious foods and drink plenty of water, maybe even take a few vitamins. If you want to expand your vocabulary you will spend ample time reading materials that intellectually stimulate and challenge you. If you want to nurture and build a relationship you will pay attention to it faithfully. You get the idea. This is one of several reasons why I write everyday. It’s also why we should devote time to devote ourselves to read the Word and pray. God actually has a lot to say and has ample answers to those prayers you pray, but are we listening? Are we slowing down to hear? Are we carving out time in the business of life to even hear ourselves think?

Cultivate the habit of taking a few meditative moments every day. Begin this way. You’ll be amazed at the time you actual save because you will be stable and able to better focus, maneuver and navigate your day all because you simply took a few moments to breath in your moments and thank God for the good things in your life. God cares about our habits. Let’s make it a good habit of accepting Love from Him. ~>Nicole

my lips will praise you.”

Keep Going!

Posted in Devotional, Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , at 6:33 am by Broken & Brave

Don’t Quit!

A small child learning to walk may fall 50 times for he or she succeeds to take a handful of steps.
A kid learning to ride their bike may wibble and wobble and even fall over, but they keep getting up.
They say if you fall off of a horse you should get right back on to eradicate any future fear of riding.

How do you know this is not your year? Though we may fall. We may fail, we may not see the fruit of results God has purposed within us, we don’t quit. We don’t give up. We keep going. Everyday is full of success and some of that success goes without you ever knowing who you touched and how you changed their life. You MUST dwell in a place and space of perpetual expectation and anticipation of a blessing. Know it’s coming. Feel it in your gut. He is a God of Big things and He is willing to move heaven and earth for you. Believe~

Intentional

Posted in Devotional, Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , at 7:55 am by Broken & Brave

With God, “What’s done is done” might not really be done…

All through the Bible we see amazing stories of how someone blew it and then God showed up with a miracle and saw them through it. Who you are is not dependent on what you do! Who you are is a result of to whom you belong to! You’ve been created by a King to do amazing things! You do your part and God does His…
I think there is a lot to be said about God’s willingness to reward our faithful efforts. Despite mistakes, mess ups, and days we just plain miss it. When He knows we are truly trying to follow His path, He is quick to fix it. So every goal you have ever set for your health and fitness or every other aspect of your life–it’s not too late. It’s not forsaken, it’s not beyond you or behind you. He is still with you and if you keep going–so will He! You have been forged from the Rock. You MIGHT as well be granite because you are ROCK SOLID !

God is Intentional about your Redemption! I think that’s pretty incredible. ~Nicole
