You have words of worth in your pocket. Your mouth is the gateway of your voice, but your heart is the keeper of His still small voice. As we burn within something becomes LIT inside of us. Something deeper still becomes alive in us. We become a raging inferno of Hope as we become what we are destined to be.

As we let go we come to know the Greater Still inside of each one of us. Together…we are God’s collective Fire. Be inspired. God Almighty means to take you higher. The best is yet to come. Be Still…come to know your God, Greater.

Treasure Hunting🎁

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , at 7:22 am by Broken & Brave

Are you finding your Joy? Do not be burdened by such a question, but make it a treasure hunt. For those who find True Joy find a lasting Treasure. Do you play Elf on a shelf with your kids? I bet it’s fun to find creative ways to hide and seek it out with your children. The same can be with Joy. Abba Father is like a playful Father, too! He isn’t a rigid Patriarch in the sky. Press your heart into His and seek Him out and watch and see how many clues to your Joy He will give to thee! Like a good book you can’t put down, It will leave you hungry for more!

Merry Christmas. You are a special gift to those around. There is NO ONE else like you. Do not hold back  with your heart, your time, your love and friendship.

The more you give the more Joy for all! ~Nicole

Internal Bling✨

Posted in Inspirational, true story tagged , , , , , , , , , , at 9:09 am by Broken & Brave

“But godliness with contentment is great gain.”

1 Timothy 6:6

Several of my devotions this a.m. contained threads of “contentment” laced throughout. It prompted an internal grin that flowed from my soul as I read each–for this is truly how I feel right now.

Yesterday I competed in the largest bodybuilding show I have ever competed in before. There are at least 326 athletes in this event so large it must span the coarse of four days and drew teams of athletes from all over the world. As I stood on the wings of the stage in prejudging yesterday I looked about (as I held my stage stance shoulders up, lats wide, torso twisted and legs charged…all in 5 inch heels on a slick floor of course)…I looked about the ladies who graced that stage with me. They were stunning. Beautiful form and symmetry, everything in place. Each had a personal style and grace no one could replace and I thought to myself. “Nicole, you are here.” It didn’t matter how I should finish, I was blessed.

Backstage everyone looks amazing, but once you get those bodies out under the stage lights you see fairly quickly who maybe shines the most bright. I knew the gal who posed right after me would win it. Her symmetry was on point for everything the judges are looking for. As she took her place by my side I whispered as I threw her a smile, “Your stunning”. She almost cried right there. Even the most beautiful of women need someone to believe in them and encourage them and love on them. Of course I love to do that! She did win and she won big–became overall winner and is now a Pro. But what I love is the humility of her soul. A sweet little lady from Hungary took home the gold.

As I reflected on my fourth place finish I felt joy in my soul. I am learning so much more about this sport and myself every time I take the stage. I know the source of my strength and worth isn’t in how high I place, but in knowing I’ve done my all and have pleased my Lord. I look around and see many of these women put their entire self worth in this thing…I’m praying for Divine Appointments to speak life and scout out the beauty and shine they bring to everyday life.

You may never aspire to compete in Figure, but you bring a shine to the world around you. There is a special kind of bling that only Jesus can bring and it’s locked like a pure gold medal embedded inside your chest. Let it rest within, shine within and draw others to the incredible light of Christ.

Because of Christ we’ve always got the win.

Prose

John Keats was born 31 October 1795 and died 23 February 1821.

Despite the lack of length and breadth of his years…they contained depth few of his age could relate to. Mr. Keats is considered one of the greatest romantic poets in history. His rankings summit to heights alongside peers of the likes such as Lord Byron and Shelley.

The tragedy behind this man’s life is as poetic as his pen. Keats only knew publication of his works for four years before he died from illness in Rome at the age of 25. The work of Keats was widely criticized by critics of the day and he had a hard time associating publication with success.

The pain stole his flame and he didn’t write anymore…

Today he is considered a man who had a deep impact on literature and influenced a broad range of literary giants throughout the ages to follow him. His works are widely studied as Literature and Scholars consider his poem “To Autumn” to be close to literary perfection as any poem ever was.

Keats died feeling he was a failure of a man…
Even though the pain stole his flame,
his pen lived on.

“So I saw that there is nothing better than that all should enjoy their work, for that is their lot; who can bring them to see what will be after them?” Ecc. 3:22

There’s is one whose heart I liken to Keats…He is my Lord and Savior whose poetry penned within my heart caused it to sail upon a gusty wind of His Holy Presence…His Holy Spirit. My life inspired by His message. I take to heart His Holy Example on how to live and love and sew kindness and Faithfulness to my fellow man.

Jesus came to bleed and cancel my need. He was struck and beaten for being different. He was sifted and sorted and his frame was contorted. They tried to kill his flame and though his body was broken-I imagine his heart was too…he continued on and finished it without ever refraining from loving through and through.

You may find situations in life leaving you without pardon. Don’t allow your heart to harden. Don’t allow the pain to steal your flame. Jesus is the master key and his keys unlock everything. Don’t seal yourself in…allow his touch to heal you within .

God will always bring Beauty for your Ashes. Keats may have never known the praises of his prose…but I have no doubt he enjoys praises from Heaven and has forgotten his foes.

The Lord Bless your good Inheritance.

Inferno of Hope

Posted in Devotional, true story, Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , at 6:25 am by Broken & Brave

Yesterday I walked into the performance facility on campus where my spouse is employed. It happened to be filled with a water polo club mid workout, my water polo playing son included in the mix . As I crossed the threshold I instantly detected the aroma of chlorine. The boys had come straight to weights from the pool. It put a little smile on my face because there have been other teams in there at times that put off a far different aroma than the smell of sanitization as I entered in.

I’m actually fairly sensitive to smells. I guess I have a strong sense of it. I can walk on a path and catch the flavor a flower exudes and it’s just enough to delight my heart and mood. I love noticing the little, subtle, mostly unnoticed details of life.

Our life puts off an Aroma.
How do we smell?

When we allow God to stroke our heart, heal its pain, fuel it’s worth it gives spark to the bones and Light to the eyes. Like a match that has been struck, it begins to kindle and bring back the innocence of childhood like Faith.

As we walk close to the flame, we experience its warm. As we abide in it, trust it, savor it, knowing we will be consumed by it, but never burned from it. We begin to put off a pleasing Aroma much the same way a scented candle would release a fragrant perfume.

It becomes evident, in this Glorious position of Grace, Peace and tranquility, that we becomes an Inferno of Hope that possesses power and passion- just like the intense heat of the flame- to help others cope all because we embraced Hope.

Today is yours…
flavor it with a Sweet Scent.

~Nicole

“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.” Ephesians 5:1-2
