This Day I Pray~

Posted in Inspirational, Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 3:54 am by Broken & Brave

This day…

Help me, Lord to rest in your confidence, Truth and will.

Equip me to remain ever at peace in my heart, mind and soul.

Stir my heart and it’s devotions more deeply toward you.

Everything I am able to do is because of you.

May I abide in Christ and love more. Not to love as I know I can and have been able to love in the past.

Not to love as I wish too-

But to love as you do.

Head to toe, heart and soul, you’ve always got more of the good stuff my heart and soul long for.

You are Good. So Good.

You are Splendid. Splendid indeed.

May I lie at your feet on the threshing floor as Ruth did-

waiting for the Kinsman Redeemer to bring forth an Abundant Harvest of your Good Promise?

My King of kings- I love you more.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Jeremiah 31:3

***Poetic Prose of Prayer and Praise. I script my heart and personal prayers on page as a guide post to gain deeper intimacy in Christ.

He is waiting for you to go deeper in Him…

What are you waiting for?

God is…

Posted in true story tagged , , , , , , , , at 6:35 am by Broken & Brave

I have such a hard time with the notion that there is only one way to do something. I guess I am just naturally wired to be more open minded than that–this is just a life long fact. But I didn’t realize I thought like this until my adult life. Thank the Lord I realized it in my young adult life. {Some maybe never figure this out.}

But this is something Jesus knew all along.

He knew He didn’t have to fit in to make an impactful difference.

He know He didn’t have to do things a certain cookie cutter way. In fact, I suspect He often times deliberately did things in uncommon ways, unorthodox ways, and ways unprescribed by the religious side of Jewish culture. Things like heal people on the sabbath. A religious mind says, “Huh! You broke a rule!” They couldn’t see past the rule to the benefit. They couldn’t see past the prescribed to the One real Prescription to Heal the human condition. But He used all of these tactics to fish through the crowd and find the pure of heart–those who would see Him for who He was and wouldn’t shy away from the Power of His Love. He was looking for a faithful few. He was searching for a Bride who would be True.

He was a man before His time. Literally!

He was and is a man for all of time.

God is!…

There is no one right way to show love to others. Everyone shows and shares love differently. But when Love is caught…that’s where there is magic.

God loves so much.

He gave it all up—

Only to pick it back up again

With those who had shown themselves true friend.

What began as just a few men that came to be known as His Disciples, grew. Then we see a little more than one hundred people in the Upper Room. That’s a lot more people than 12 (Disciples number), but by comparison to Caesar’s Empire it was a drip from the faucet. But what happened in that upper Room? Tongues of Fire licked the crowd and changed them inside out and they became as fierce as Fire Breathing Dragons that weren’t fueled by fury or rage, but a pleasing aroma that could settle a disturbed and disquieted heart. They were fueled by Love. They were fueled by Holy Zeal and a Fiery Purpose. They loved on purpose and for a reason and displayed unmatchable strength by the Power of His Mercy.

Have you ever had a friend who loves you and thinks the best of you for no apparent reason? God will because God is…

Have you ever had a friend who’s accomplishments seem far superior to yours yet they marvel at the things you do that you consider less grand in the scheme of human measurement of success? I for sure do! Just my friend I wrote about the other day. She always outshined me academically and professionally as well. Yet she sits and always marvels at the fact I was able to home school my children. I think this is both comical and adorable. The woman has a PhD in Psychology and is a college adjunct professor!

But guess who else is a friend like this?

God is…

Have you ever had a friend who just alway looks at you with kind eyes. They hold you deep in their heart and you know they would do just about anything for you? Wow, I feel blessed. As I write this I realize I have that as well {and I know she is reading this right now…you’re amazing my friend, you love big and you love hard and your love is pure and real. I am so grateful for you.💕}.

Praise God! If you don’t have that with people, I pray God will give you a friend like that. But don’t forget, the friend of all friends who companionship has no end and though great, all these other friendships will always pail in comparison. Who is this kind of love?

God is…

Unconventional-not bound by or confirming to convention, rule, or precedent.

Cheers to the One who came in an unconventional way to save the day.

“The Lord your God is in your midst,
   a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
    he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zeph 3:17

Blessings to the one who became completely undone despite having done nothing wrong. He’s the one I’m looking toward to guide my soul and be my example. I dare say you can look to Him as well. God is…and He never fails!

The heart of God adores you. Can you not feel His Pleasure? Take time today to revel in the delight of His sheer goodness. Though we will never obtain His level of goodness it’s ok to feel good about the good inside of yourself. Heaven does! You can delight with Him. I think it honors God to not be so depreciating of yourself. We all struggle with this from time to time.

He is both friend and lover like none other.

A little bit about me:

Hello! Welcome to my blog. I write from the heart to the heart and feel God guide every stroke of my pen. I know God has entrusted me with His ability to Comfort, Alieve, and Creatively Heal. I pray your stay on my page will leave you desiring more with your relationship with Christ. I pray my words are water to a thirsty and dusty soul. My entire life I found God over and over again, or probably He found me, in the depths of my heart. That is truly where He shows me who He is and His real nature. Then He takes His Word and soaks it all in and I just marinate there. It creates a flavor to life beyond compare!

I think that’s ultimately where He wants to live–making our heart His home. I invite you to open up to Him and dare to trust Him a bit with the parts of your soul you have avoided not willing to explore. It will be a challenge, but I think you’re up for it! God knows you’re a little unconventional too! Cheers to you! Thank you again for coming. 💜

Joy Comes

Posted in Inspirational tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 7:14 am by Broken & Brave

Though tears come through the Night…

Joy comes in the morning.

I bet that could also read Joy comes in the Mourning….grief gives way and births something amazing when we are married to God.

It literally JUST dawned on me as I was writing it!!! (No pun intended by using the word dawn 🤭)

I sent this thread to a friend who is grieving this morning. She replied that she has actually researched this and the word Morning. It is used both ways! So our Lord once again proves He has thought of everything. Every deep and marvelous Wonder is at our fingertips and all we need to do is:

  • be still and drink in His Goodness
  • explore His writings
  • seek Him.

Revelation will find us even when we though we were sending an encouraging text to a friend who is hurting.

There is nothing like the beauty a true friend can bring. Sometimes when we have a good friend at our fingertips who is always there for us we take them for granted.

There are seven wonders of the world…

Chichen Itza, Christ the Redeemer, Great Wall of China, Machu Picchu, Petra, Taj Mahal, and Colosseum

How many people who live near these marvelous destinations yet become so accustomed to their presence that they forget what a present they have?

God is greater than any wonder of the world. He holds sturdier than any pyramid or Roman Ruin. I was amazed by the structure of some Roman Ruins I recently visited in Caesarea, Israel. How much more must it be to witness those in actual Rome! He stands taller than any statue in South America. And he holds stronger and has fortified His love in our hearts chambers as The Great Wall protecting our life better than the Great Wall of China.

We don’t have to travel abroad over seas or climb on any camels to travel to the very Throne of Heaven. Heavens Keeper is more than willing to set up residence within your heart. How marvelous and beautiful is that?

I encourage you. I am encouraging myself as well, to not take this love for granted. Wrap hold. Grab hold. His Joy is there for you every morning. On the days He feels close, He is. On the days He doesn’t feel close, He’s even closer. He will never leave you or forsake you and His Joy comes…hold on.

In modern day to be friendly to everyone is considered strange. Keep on being nice and friendly anyway. Your smile might be the only wonderful thing someone else’s day offers. You can heal a heart with a smile and you never know who it will be or how God is using you. And the smiles you give just might be used to heal yourself as well.

“We often think our friends help us when we are weak. And they do. But it’s also true that we become strong when we have friends to be strong for.”

-Eric Greitens

Display unmatchable kindness today!

For to our Lord, you are a Wonder in this World, too.

You were made to live a life Extraordinary! -Nicole

Love Good

Posted in Devotional tagged , , , , , , at 5:47 am by Broken & Brave

God’s Grace cannot be trumped by our goodness. His grace is scandalous and pardons what we can’t fix and I think this is a beautiful, but peculiar aspect to His Character.

I love it!

Our obedience is a form of adoration, but it is not the instrument of His portions.

He gives…

He gives…

He gives….

Because HE Lives!

We may fall…

But He will rise!

Doing good and being good are good. But what stirs God’s heart is when we love good.🌸💗

God doesn’t need our effort to advance Himself, but by the power of His love He includes those who are willing to serve…support…and encourage.

You have been given a Voice to use.

You have been given a platform. Your platform may not look like someone else’s. Your platform is your LIFE.

Rest your heart in a fountain of Joy. Even when gloom and despair lick like flames about you, remain quiet as a mouse. This day given you may be the only opportunity another will have to see a Ministey of Hope etched within you. The best way to love well and have a wonderful day is to get the focus off of our own trials and struggles and focus on blessing another. Self absorbed thinking is always a waste of energy. There are times to meditate, be somber and reflect—but these times are to be reserved for your place of private sanctuary or spiritual rest. It may be your room, your yard or garden. When necessary it may even need to be alone in your car. And God, who knows everything, will minister to the very thing that you’ve never spoke a word about to anyone. He is amazingly kind and gracious.

But all of His Grace, He resoundingly penetrates my heart with over and over again, is not dependent on our goodness or ability.

We all fail. We all fall short. We all have a misstep now and again. These places are places to pick up and move forward. To sanction our heart in God’s care, but never to wallow there. Self pity is selfish and not from God.

The Greatest Essence of Heaven’s kindness is our ability to kiss the world around us with the moisture of Heaven in the goodness of His Love. Loving good is not always easy, but it is always necessary. You’ve got just the right Voice, right smile, right heart intent to make a real difference.

“Let all that you do be done in love.”

1 Cor. 16:14

“Then let the sunshine of your gladness rest

On the dark edges of each cloud that lies

Black in your brother’s skies

If you are sad,

Still be you in your brother’s gladness glad.”

Don’t Let Go—

Posted in Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , , , , at 2:18 am by Broken & Brave

“I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness;

I will hold your hand.

I will keep you and will make you

to be a covenant for the people

And a light for the Gentiles.”

Isaiah 42:6

What has your heart perplexed this day? What has caused your heart to rouse and be troubled?

Do you not know you are the absolute Apple of the Father’s Eye?

Do you know how His heart cries when you suffer inside?

Do you not know that His fondest thoughts include you?

He is with you.

Everything you say—

Everywhere you go—

Every ounce of you is protected by whole hosts of angels descending down from the heavens to protect your call, your anointing, your crown.

Just the fact that you are alive today is living proof that there are yet Grand and Mighty things for you to do!

“…be there with an open and joyful heart as often as possible; if not joyful, at least with a brave and faithful heart.”

~Frances de Sales

Take Courage…

have heart…

Be strong in the Might of His Power…be it not your own.

For in our own strength we prove weak, feeble and foolish.

Be the man or woman you desire to be.

Step up and step out Victoriously.

Find encouragement for this day in these words that I say. They are Heaven inspired and drawn from wells of Living Water to flow from my pen–if only to cause both your heart, soul, strength and face to smile.

He is with you now-

let us go the extra mile.

Biceps and Tan Lines…

Posted in Inspirational tagged , , , , , , at 9:13 am by Broken & Brave

Through time trends come and then they go only to reappear again some time later.

Fitness is in style. Period. We live in a culture that has moved to the extreme in everything. Not only is fitness hip, but there are so many ways to express it.

When I was young I was always attracted to an athletic frame. Not just in men—women also. I had a deep regard for muscle tone and that “healthy” look. I found it appealing. Probably one of the reasons I became a sponge for all things health and fitness when I was very young. No one else in my family like that. I created my own culture and lifestyle with that.

Back then bodybuilding was bodybuilding and that was all. Now it’s got all kinds of divisions, classes and each require a different standard for physique and muscle mass. Choices to the extreme. I’ve been shopping for a new figure suit and the choices are beyond too many. Not only style and cut and fabric, But fasteners and gems and where or how do you want them?

If your not into muscle you’ve got so many other choices. We’ve got extreme sport called “CrossFit”, or you can yoga and pilates your day away. You may not swing an axe, but find a kettlebell is where it’s at. How about just going for a walk? You can stroll or power walk? Run, jog or sprint, you’ll get leaner than lean with all of it!

I always tell people I am consulting with to find something they enjoy doing. If you enjoy it—you’re more likely to stick with it.

Fitness hasn’t always been in style. Strong is the new skinny, but back in the 20’s skinnier than skinny was the rage with celebrities like “Twiggy” representing the rage. Back in the day being as fair as can be was representation of some sort of privilege or royalty. It symbolizes that you weren’t “working class” so you had no need to go in the sun because your servants or workers did all that for you. But now you can be tan all year round with lotions and bronzers, spray tans and beds.

So what’s the point of my pen this a.m.?

When you work hard at something it will show. If you work hard outdoors it will show. You will be tan and you will have the lines to prove it. When you work hard on your body you will have the lines on your frame to prove it.

When you work hard on your relationship with God it will show, your spirit will shine like the sun and penetrate those around you—a different sort of tan I guess.

When you work hard on your health and fitness, minding your nutrition, your medical file may slim as well as your waistline. Your muscles will firm and the jiggles disappears giving rise to your Joy and self confidence. When you focus on your friendship with Heaven your spirit will strengthen and grow just like your muscles. You will increase in endurance and stamina. You will withstand more…believe more…become more. You will be more.

So no matter how your bod is shaping up or your tan for that matter. Know that today could be the first day of many that causes your spiritual momentum to rise. You’ve got muscles of heart and sunshine inside. Go out today and tan the world around you for the good.

Shine bright—

You are heavens delight.

Never be ashamed of your muscle it shows you’ve got hustle!

I need you more—

I have walked through tremendous lack in my soul and I’ve lived through tremendous lack in my resources.—I don’t want to go back to either.

Forgive me for my every fret or worry.

I need you more.

Forgive me my doubt and discouragement.

I need you more.

You are the floor that holds me up so I won’t go under.

You are the door of Love that knocks hard on my heart chamber.

I need you more.

You’re the excitement and drive of my life.

You are the Peace and Tranquility that holds me through the night.

You are the Soft Spoken and Gentle Voice that shows me Kindness like I’ve never known.

I need you more.

I need you more.

So I will Believe in you more.

It’s you I adore.

So I will look forward —

With Anticipation—

For more.

🌹And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Today, someone is feeling grateful for YOU. How awesome is that?

You are Special.

You are Wonderful.

You are Needed, Valued and Extraordinary.

Lips offer thanks to God for you and the offerings of your life.

Lay all your burdens down. The Breath of Heaven Rejoices over you. One of Heaven’s Heroes come true.

Life is a beautiful journey. Just because you’re being hard on yourself doesn’t mean that other people are hard on you. I wish you could see yourself like others see you!

You can do anything the Lord has put in your heart to do.
He will not leave you or forsake you.
In fact, He believed enough to die for you.
It all began one Christmas time.

Believe and Enjoy the ride❤️…

Beautiful is the feeling that great thing will happen this day.

Belief is found in the heart and soul.

Be a source of joy for another, that the hopeless might catch it through you until their hope within is ignited.

Don’t just dream big dreams…Live your dreams.

The Gratitude of Heaven

Posted in Devotional, Inspirational tagged , , , , , , , at 8:26 am by Broken & Brave

The Gratitude of Heaven

Has it ever occurred to you that God is thankful? It’s kind of hard to wrap my head around that. But if He desires us to be full of thanksgiving then we must be filled with gratitude. The deeper we go in gratitude the more we become a reflection of Him. If we are reflecting Him, then thankfulness must be in Him. It is an attribute of His heart. With this, my mind naturally begins to think or realize something astounding and powerful…

God is thankful for you.
God is thankful for me…

I already understand His Love to a certain measure. But how can this be? He is God! Lofty, High and Lifted Up! Creator of all the heavens and the earth. But as it settles in my heart somewhere down deep I know it is His heart communicating this Truth to me. He is happy he made you. Let it sink in… In fact, I am quite certain that your heart makes His heart sing.

“Come, take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden light.”
Matthew 11:29-30

The Lord treasures your heart and is thankful for you. Don’t forget it.
