The Promise

The “Pinky Promise”…

6256B089-F9A8-4013-ADD6-D1DFB17A5A85“As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him.” 1Samuel 17:48

God tends to have a preference for the Impossible. That’s where He likes to work. The impossible seems to be His specialty. In fact, He does His BEST work when the odds are stacked against us.

David met up with a giant.
Moses opposed the leader of Egypt.
Daniel prayed when He was told not to. Esther stepped into territory she wasn’t allowed.

Ruth forsook her birthright for the Identity of God through Naomi. She stepped foot on the threshing floor and received for herself a Kinsman Redeemer named Boaz who is a foreshadow of Christ.

Elijah retrieved an axe head from the waters deep with a spoken command(because sometimes our trials help us stay SHARP!).

The Israelites wandered the wilderness, but while in the wilderness they witnessed and received countless miracles so big they had to be seen to become believed.

Walls falling by shouting at them?

Meat falling from the sky?

Water gushing out of rocks?

Clouds for shade and fire by night for light?

And the biggest miracle of all came and is explained in the New Testament…a stone that rolled away to reveal and empty grave.

The Lamb of God had Overcome the Impossible!

How about you? What kind of miraculous provision has God brought to you? When was the last time you recapped your Victories and then declared to an Almighty God gratitude and belief that He can do it again…and again…and again? What weighs so heavy on you that you have forgotten the power of your first Love? Don’t you know that He’d move heaven and earth all over again for a closer talk with you? It’s True!

There is nothing that can separate you from His Love. You’ve been disappointed. Plans may have failed. It may seem like an enemy of your soul has prevailed. But God always speaks last and He always places you first upon His heart and His mind. His Love for you is unshakable. In fact, so deep are His thoughts toward you that you will never be forgotten. He is with you through it all, above all and He will take to your troubles a wrecking ball. You have more power of God in your little finger than the kingdom of darkness has over all the earth. You have keys to the kingdom and God gave them to you to use. So start shaking them! All of heaven will move off of its Throne to come to your aid.

God does not sleep nor does He slumber. His fire is full of zeal when you come to Him with an appeal. He will cancel every assignment of the enemy. So get ready! Declare the Impossible in your life!

Did I mention God specializes in the impossible? He does His best work when the odds are staked against you, so don’t lose heart…never lose heart. He is your Hope and will deliver you in less than a fortnight. ~Nicole

Esther Anointing

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , at 7:50 am by Broken & Brave

Until now you have wondered, “Why has this happened? Where is God in my trial?” But what if you have an “Esther Anointing”? History shows that Queen Vashti would not submit to the wishes of the King, so he had her banished. Vashti was blessed with intense beauty, but she failed to realize what her beauty was truly for. She possessed aimless beauty while Esther possessed a beautiful purpose.

God had groomed Esther for such a time a this.

Though seemingly small, humble, insignificant…this young woman had the roar of the Lion burning in her heart and it was called Courage.

So, what if this is you?
Do you travail in challenging circumstance?
Do you feel as though you can barely hold on?
Do you wonder why you have been abandoned or forsaken?

Maybe God has used it to prepare you for such a time as this. You never know who your going to impact in a positive way…May your “Vashti” step aside and your “inner Esther” arise!

Be a Champion. Make a Difference..

Perseverance is a necessary precursor to anything great…

Here is a historical example of people to be grateful for their ability to dream big and persevere…Orville and Wilbur Wright, the creators of the first airplane.

When these two brothers were boys their father gave them a toy helicopter made of cork, paper and a rubber band. This was their source of inspiration to become the first men to fly for the first time a free, controlled flight by a power-driven airplane. Did you know that Wilbur didn’t even receive his high school diploma? I challenge you to research all the trials they had in their efforts to develop this plane. It wasn’t easy. They had all kinds of things go wrong. Then, when they did fly, no one believed them and many didn’t even appreciate their achievement. Instead of becoming discouraged and giving up, they persisted without exception and took their invention to Europe in hopes of further success and they found it. Once returning to the US they were wealthy and famous and began filling contracts for airplanes in both the United States and Europe.

Don’t quit. Never fail to believe that God can and is willing to do anything to show up and show off for you. Believe it! Behind every storm the Son is still shining. ⛅️~Nicole

Unfair or Foundational?

Posted in Devotional, true story tagged , , , , , , , , , , , at 6:07 am by Broken & Brave

The only people who fail are those who quit. Don’t quit!

Some people don’t have to work very hard and things come naturally to them while others work extremely hard and the results come with great difficulty. Have you ever wondered about this? I see this a lot in my competitions. Girls who don’t train very hard and don’t stick to their diet, yet they walk away with a trophy. But this concept applies to many areas of life. It could be a Valedictorian to rarely studied, the person who finds a job in a day while you hunt away. The list goes on.

Some may say it seems unfair, but don’t allow your heart, your mind nor your attitude to droop. For anything you deem important enough to put your heart to and it falls in line with the inspired Word of God, then God cares about it too and He is with you making way for you. Sometimes the Lord places purposes in our heart knowing the challenge it will bring. He will use it all to build stellar character to the pure of heart. So don’t quit. Never give up. You must be decided and possess absolute belief that the God who put you to it will see you through it brilliantly. What do you gain by quitting? You become like those work not at all and nothing comes to them. But when you work hard and discipline yourself the rewards received by far outweigh and title or trophy. It’s about becoming the best you can be and self worth and dignity. ~Nicole

“So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should.”

Feed the hungry and slay your giant...

“Then Jesse said to his son, David, ‘Take now for your brothers an ephah of this dried grain and these ten loaves, and run to your brothers at the camp. And carry these ten cheeses to the captain of their thousand, and see how your brothers fare, and bring back news of them.'” 1 Samuel 17:17-18

Sometimes our Heavenly Father sends us into a situation that turns out to be an opposing giant in our life. We can be tempted to think, “if I hadn’t obeyed my Father I wouldn’t be in this situation.” But because we love our Father, as David did so his, we obey, just as David.

Your giant could be difficulties at work, or maybe a health scare, maybe your household is turned upside down or your finances in disarray. Your giant could even be something opposing your faith. But God, Abba Father, knew what He was doing when He picked you. He knew it was you He wanted to send with provision for the situations of life at hand. Your entire life is a Divine Assignment when your heart is in proper alignment with Heavens Signature Pen. He knew…

Though you may seem small in your situation or the least of your resources…He knew you were really great. He sees what’s inside. He knows He crafted you with superb ingredients. He knows the kind of food you bring to every avenue of this life you lead.

So, He put His Word in your heart and it extols the Lord. When you share your heart others are fed. It doesn’t matter what you do for a living or what your giant is- you’ve been sent to the battle line to face it, overcome it and sustain others from your experience. God has you strategically placed right where you are at for His purpose sake.

Run to the battle line, do not shrink back, and watch your Father pull a sling shot from His pouch, face the Giants of life through you and with one shot knock them out!

All by the power of the Cross. Embrace the journey…
It is meant to be extraordinary!

70 “He chose David his servant
and took him from the sheep pens;
71 from tending the sheep he brought him
to be the shepherd of his people Jacob,
of Israel his inheritance.
72 And David shepherded them with integrity of heart;
with skillful hands he led them.”

Psalm 78:70-72

Way To Work💦👊🏼

Last week I had an experience where someone made a judgement about me based on how I looked. The person doesn’t know me really at all, but they felt it important, when I asked them a question relavent to the situation, to verbalized their assumptions. Another person was standing right there and they both began to laugh out loud. I asked my question again, without getting angry, but asked what they considered to be of such great humor? Then I proceeded to do what I was there for and they quickly showed me kindness for they saw that they had inappropriately judged me by their perception of me. They assumed I was some sort of princess who doesn’t know how to work. What this sincerely incorrect individual doesn’t know is my testimony or my character.

Mine is a testimony of hardship. The more I have grown in obedience to Christ the more I have suffered. I don’t walk around crying about it and I am a joyful upbeat person so most haven’t a clue all I’ve been through or go through today. I sometimes ponder and ask God how my testimony could help anyone get closer to Christ or saved? I dread folks will hear my story, become frightened of the Cross and run for their life. So I only share from my myriad of stories as God leads. Don’t you know His ways are higher and when He leads and I share it is on the right ears at the right time and it bears witness to something they are going through in their life. Then, I almost always universally hear, “if you could get through that then I know God will help me get through this.” I know that’s probably a good thing for them and fruit to my story, but I can’t say it’s something I enjoy. What I do enjoy is the friendship with God I have. I feel like a garden that gets cared for, tended and watered every day! Wouldn’t change that for anything!

I have had to dig deep daily. I stay focused on my purpose and the fruitfulness I have faith it will produce for the Kindgdom of God.

I naturally want my obedience to bless myself and my family, who wouldn’t? It is innate to want to look out for yourself and your loved ones. But true and pure obedience to the Cross of Jesus Christ obeys because it is our duty. (Acts 5:29)

As a Believer my life does not belong to me. I have been ransomed by a blood stained tree of humility. ( 1 Corinthians 6:20, John 3:16) Not everyone who obeys Christ will endure extremes in suffering as I have, but I also know not everyone will experience the same tender touch with my Heavely Father as I have. He equips you for what He calls you to. If you are called to go to difficult places, He will make sure you are prepared to handle it. (Hebrews 13:21)

So I take the words and jokes at my expense with a grain of salt and love through it. (Luke 6:33) They don’t know the depth of my stoicism, but God does and He is who I am aiming to please.

In all of life there will be people making assumptions of us that are incorrect based on their own mindsets, filters and past life experiences. It’s going to happen. If it hasn’t happened to you yet (count me a little shocked), it will. That’s not cynicism, that’s reality.

Just as these folks made a negative assumption last week about me, the very next day I had someone make a positive, yet eronious, assumption about me. This assumption, again, based on my external appearance…how I looked! This person told me I could eat whatever I wanted because I was thin. Not true! I am thin because I DONT eat whatever I want! If I ate what I wanted I’d snack all day and never eat a meal and be perfectly happy. Though positive in nature, an incorrect assessment of who I am and how I live. The correct assessment would’ve been, “You are thin because you have high levels of self control and self discipline” (these are some fruits of the spirit visible in my testimony of obedience. 1 Corinthians 6:19, Galatians 5).

Ive recently been recapping in my heart and mind some of my life stories over the past 20 years and recognizing that some of my obedience to do very difficult things was only to refine me and make me strong. It wasn’t to do and become anything grand, which believe it or not had never been my life ambition. But everyone wants their life to matter, to count for something, to make some sort of difference. This is the only thing in life that can really satisfy the soul. It’s called Purpose.

I guess I was recapping because I wasn’t particularly feeling all that obedience had amounted to much. I was maybe feeling remorse. Not remorse for having obeyed the heart of God, but remorse like I had all that difficulty because I followed God. Not resentful, just contemplative. Most people associate troubled roads with dishonoring God and making really foolish life choices, when actually if our life is to be lived for Christ it will look like His as well and He was a man well acquainted with suffering. His suffering and fruit resulted in him dying the most torturous death imaginable.

…but three days later…

You may be in a season where you are mulling over in your mind and life the action steps you have been faithful to take toward Christ or a goal or the resolution to a difficulty. You may be wondering if there is anything you have missed or are failing to learn or do? Not necessarily. God is the Master of Timing. Your fruit, your blessing, your answers will come. You must maintain faith and not give up on His Grace. Whether you are looking for answers in your own health, finances, relationships or just trying to get better…Think of the bamboo shoot. It is planted as a seed and watered and watered and watered with nothing to be seen for seven years, only to finally sprout and grow to insane heights in a very short time.

The greater the blessing God is birthing in your life, the more turmoil and strife will surround it to try and aggravate the promises of God and derail you from completing the journey appointed you. But if you learn how to dig deep. If you master the art of how to stick and stay. No matter what the Adversary of Heaven throws your way, you have already overcome by the Power of One. Your Victory will come and what God breathes in and through you along the way will be incredibly awesome!

Dig deep. You’ve got staying Power and Heaven will make room to keep.

Way to work!💦👊🏼
