Accomplished

It is not uncommon for people to project their own struggles, fears, insecurities onto others. It is important to remember that we don’t all struggle the same or think the same. One man’s worries may be another man’s victory.

When I was in college I had a friend from High School who had dropped out of Junior College and began working full time. She had a great job and was making descent money, but her heart’s desire was to return to school and obtain a degree. She had tried to re-engage her academic pursuits a few times only to drop out again. She decided that she wanted to move in with me because in her mind, if she surrounded herself with what she desired she would successfully move in that direction. I had already three years of college under my belt and went to school with a full load while also working a part-time job to help support myself. So, I thought it was a wise idea for her and so I agreed and she moved to my college city, found herself a job and enrolled in a few classes at the neighboring junior college to the university I attended. I’d like to say she stayed the course and quickly advanced, but I can’t. It was a rough terrain for her to reframe her discipline and push through- but over time she did it and excelled in her academic pursuits and is now in a very specialized profession making excellent money and doing something she loves.

Surround yourself with what you desire to achieve or become.

That’s why unity is so key. We can all help each other Overcome. As a True Champion we become willing to place trust in our fellow man. We surrender absolute control and place confidence in others as we go…

Every relationship has propensity to bless your life in countless areas. One friend may excel at one thing while another friend does well at something else. If we hem ourselves together with the glue of loyalty and longevity there isn’t anything we can’t do!

Great things in store for you! God will bring you what you need to achieve every goal or aspiration on your journey. Remain dependent and faithful to Him and a Radiant Joy Journey will begin! These are exciting times we live in!

Faith Can Flex

Posted in Devotional tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 8:00 am by Broken & Brave

You have tremendous muscle memory…not just in your physical frame, but also in the depths of your heart, your spirit.

You’ve maybe heard it said your faith is like a muscle. It must be stretched, pulled, contorted and bent before it can shape and mold into something you can believe in. But here’s something maybe you haven’t considered…

When you go through a trial and endure the rugged terrain of a wilderness experience…when your eyes have strained, but you have failed to see because the intensity of your trial too ominous…so dark. During these wee hours of heartbreak and pain is where your real strength is made and when you make it to the other side not only are you breathing, healthy, alive, but your faith has survived. Then, during seasons of comfort or even mild seasons of distress your faith remembers where’s it’s been, what it’s done, and how you’ve overcome, and you handle it all just a little more effortlessly. Your stoicism will give others who lack faith hope and create room for them to breath, gain relief and make it, too, just as valiantly.

You have tremendous muscle memory…not just in your physical frame, but also in the depths of your heart, your spirit.

Let’s Flex!!!😉

Harnessed for Glory

You are a sculptor.
You are an Artist.
You are an Inventor, Creator.
You live an Inspired Life.
You’ve been given Today.
You can handle anything the world throws at you. You are well able to grab it, lasso it and take control of all the glory contained in it.
Take inventory right now of all the things in your heart that make it flutter and your eyes twinkle. All the possibility, dreams and potential.
Harness it and take it for a ride!

God is so clever and kind. He not only wants to give us the desires of our heart, but He also gets a tickle blessing us with favor and gifts we don’t ask for. He just loves to give more…

“Delight yourself in the Lord;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

A Pregnant Pioneer

Posted in Devotional, true story, Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , at 3:28 am by Broken & Brave

Being a Pioneer means you are willing to do and try things that other people don’t do or try before its at all popular to do…

When you have a Pioneer Mindset, Vision, and are a forward thinker it permiates every area of your life, not just one or two, because it’s just how you think.

I have 5 kids. I worked out through the entire pregnancy with every one of them. Right till the end– full workouts. They modified as gestation progressed  and the weights weren’t as heavy, but I kept at what was my normal. I didn’t see a lot of other women doing this. It wasn’t a norm in culture around me. But my husband and I knew it was good. John had studied under a professor who’s done extensive research on benefits and safety. We actually loaned my OB/GYN research materials when I was pregnant with baby número uno and told her what we planned to do so she could monitor me. Thank God I have a Doctor who also has a pioneer mindset.

Look around today. I’m not saying I started a trend. Others were doing this as well but they were fewer and further between. We weren’t afraid of what people would say or think. I didn’t get upset when people coddled or babied me over lifting small objects or walking on stairs. I accepted their love and then I’d go clean a whole house or something.

It’s beautiful to see women caring for their bodies as they enjoy the beautiful changes in their body during pregnancy. What a Joyful Journey. If you are pregnant and want to be active but don’t know how much you can do. Check with your Doctor and I’d ever be happy to share with you.

God loves your body. He loves your babies both when they are inside and when they make their grand entrance. You love it, too. So many benefits to being active in every phase. This is one example of a pioneer mindset. I’m so glad I did it anyway even when I received awkward looks and scrutiny.

You may not be pregnant but I bet there is something God has planted down deep that breaks the mold and goes against things you’ve known or been told as status quo. You were built for more than status quo living. Get moving! Enjoy the ride. 💜Nicole
