And they had great exploits together…

Have you ever been on a really good team? Not just a good team, but a REALLY good team. A decent team might have one or two really good players that carry the rest. But a good team is amply loaded and blessed with players that each shine bright in their own right.

My son plays waterpolo and he was on that kind of team this season. There is one boy on the team who has both parents—former Olympians in Aquatics. He picked the right parents. Though no one could outscore this boy, every other team knew it. So as we got deeper and deeper into regional and state playoffs the oppositions goal was to stop this kid. And they did. But guess what else happened? The team united and took a stand in the gap. They picked up the slack and they absolutely shamed the competition. United. Unified. Working together. In pursuit of something better.

God is building an All Star team. Each with their own set of skills and talents that advance the team. Each team member accentuates, encourages and uses their skills to maneuver the other players into a better position for the team to score. Great teams have strategy for victory and they understand each has their own role.

King Solomon was a man after God’s own heart. He had a skill set of wisdom that was unmatched by anyone far or wide. People would come from distant lands—other great leaders in the Far East, just to hear him speak and share something deep. On one occasion there was a dispute over a baby of all things. One woman said it was hers, while the real mother explained what had happened. Solomon had to discern…who was telling the truth? So he declared they could cut the baby in half and each woman get half. One woman said, “Good idea, probably with a sneer on her face.” While the real Mother jumped to her feet declaring, “No! She can have the baby.”

The people around gasped to see how masterfully Solomon handles the situation. Solomon knew something no one else—except the real Mother—knew…

The real Mother will always let the baby live.

Through it all Solomon learned the true content of each woman’s heart. Sometimes God introduces slippery situations and fiery slopes to expose the true content of our heart.

What resides within your heart?

God is building an All Star team and He’s been scoping you out, checking out your stats and prodding and testing to make sure your character can stand the test of success. For success is where the true test resides.

God sees absolute Beauty in you. Gorgeous in form and feature, He means to bless you and showcase the gifts He has placed inside of you. He is making you—

“Flame Proof”.

Most things in my life have to come to me by way of extreme fire. You know what happened as a result? I don’t mind heat. I can tell you story after story about how God has acclimated my ability to adapt to any climate. This is good because with the gift of Faith, mountains don’t stand a chance in your way.

Know this, Beloved–

However your life deviates or the path changes you can know the outcome is still the same…
God’s got your back and He is in it to see your personal win, because He is a very personal, personable and on time God!

So take it from me, as I’ve witness radical and ridiculous miracle after miracle in my tiny life–story after story of God’s ridiculous ability for creative miracles bloomed right in front of my eyes!

God alone holds the keys to everything.

He means to give you the ride of your life! And as you travel down Faith Way you’ll discover God give your children also some keys to radical and stoic faith belief in possibilities. He is an Amazing God and He does these things to advance his kingdom, but also to prove to you how crazy his love is for you. So consider the heat Pure Sonshine that will on cause your petals to lift, stem to grow strong and your life to rise higher so God can use your captivating beauty to help those around you. You’re on the BEST team! ~Nicole

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

“Gym Life”

If a team is only as strong as the weakest link-storms are the blessing that flushes out fair weather fans and highlights your champions…

Every time I prep for a show it’s a struggle. It would be easy to envy younger gals who have no responsibility outside their own life. Not discounting their struggles and determination at all, but if I allow my imagination to run away…They can train, meal prep and train some more without having to care for spouses or children. But envy has never really been my style. Instead, I see all the benefit in the struggle. I know I’ve got more tenacity, grit and fortitude for what I must endure to achieve my goals. I understand the carry over for every future struggle in life, within or outside of my sport.

For me it symbolizes how far I’ve come and highlights every victory won on my own personal journey. It wasn’t the times on stage that forged my determination and focus…it was every storm and decision to persist without exception in every area of my life, not just gym life. To me, that’s what Strong looks like.

What are you facing or enduring today? Maybe your struggle is the benchmark for advancement and promotion in your life. Maybe the better version of you you’ve desired can only come through the chiseled outline of the stress of this time in your life. Shaping…molding…polishing your dull and rough edges. Tap into your strong, then FLEX IT all day long! You’ve got a certain sparkle and shine all your own. ~Nicole

You are not the person you were yesterday.

You are not defined by your reality…
You are defined by your perceptions of that reality.

Life is driven by choices.

Every day can be your BEST and most BLESSED day activated with choices to change.

Did you know that your body is entirely made up of collagen? You have collagen everywhere. Collagen is what makes your skin firm and elastic. It does the same for your tendons, ligaments and it lines internal organs such as your heart. We lose 1% of our collagen every year after the age of 25.

Our bodies may be slowly on the decay, but our hearts, minds or spirit can grow more vigorous with time! Our drive to live our best version of our life is encapsulated with a mind that has been set right.

Spent some time visiting with a friend yesterday who just competed on an extreme obstacle course reality show. He blew through all the competition, but at the ultimate moment of climax he fell. He failed. He didn’t prevail in what he set out to do. Or did he? God’s mercy kept him from any major physical harm–it was a big fall. It has been a joy to watch how he transitioned from it all and has positioned himself for the greater within. He didn’t get defeated. He got up, testified to God’s Grace and is now planning some extreme climb up a ridiculously large mountain.

Have you fallen? Have you failed? Are you fearing what unknown may lie ahead because today seems a little ominous or dark? Have you clung to the trail God put you on? Hold tight, Dear One-you shall prevail. God’s got grander mountains still for you to climb and even higher you will rise.

Though in life we have problems, set backs and storms, God is constructing it all for your best self, best and most blessed version of your life. There is intense vigor in you still! Rise up, wipe the tears from your face, dust off the discouragement that may be trying to cling to you and press!
You are loved and blessed.

Get ready for your BEST.

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Life is like a canvas–
Paint something good.

The Pollen of Passion

Posted in Inspirational tagged , , , , , , , , , , at 8:15 am by Broken & Brave

Your successes are safely tucked within your struggle.

Are you struggling?

Right now it looks like progress, passion, perseverance and heart. These are the attributes, the grit, that everything GREAT is made from. It’s never too late to be whatever you want to be. Believe~in yourself and every possibility etched within. Begin~to take the required actions steps of faith required to manifest destiny. As you do these things you will see yourself become all He has woven within you to be..
Like a Valiant Steed does he proceed ahead making a way for absolutely everything you will need to complete your purposed journey.

God will direct your path and the lives of those he has hand picked for you to touch. I believe this with all of my heart. So, never be too hard on yourself, nor too easy either. You are designed, set apart, and created to rise higher and take others with you, too. You’ve got a lot to offer this world, just dig deep inside and LOVE it all out!

From the Crown of your head to the soul of your feet, may the Lord’s plan for your life be made whole and complete. Every little thing you have ever experienced can be used of God to build your heart, hope and happiness if you let it. Life is a beautiful arrangement, like a bouquet of flowers and He is the Gardener. You’ve got a way about you all your own that has a lingering presence.

The world wouldn’t be the same without you. ~Nicole

“For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.”
Psalm 139:13-14

Undivided & United

Posted in true story tagged , , , , , , , , , , , at 6:06 am by Broken & Brave

My daughter was going through photos and found this one that my husband, John, took of the Towers many yrs. ago. We all know where we were that day if we had life in our veins.

I was pregnant and we were in Los Angeles, Ca. in a hotel room. I woke early that a.m. from a terrible dream. In the dream we were driving and I saw a tunnel of sorts, but what was awful was I distinctly saw airplanes crash into the tunnel and people fleeing for their lives. I woke with my heart racing only to see John already up and at his computer. I looked at him and he told me to turn on the TV. What was on the screen I couldn’t believe…it was my dream but not in my dream….it had happened, real life. Devastating.

As our country faces natural disasters and forms of storms and darkness all around, keep your fire of hope kindled. There is a resilient force of Light that burns bright and burns within the human condition. We are Americans. We are Strong. Undivided and United we are incredibly Tall.

Bold Strength

If you don’t have strength it’s because you don’t need it. As the demands of the day require it- you gain it. You are not alone. God always comes on the scene like a freight train. He carries your relief and delivers what you need.

He comes on the scene like a fighter pilot who has surveyed the terrain ahead.

He comes on the scene like a steam ship towing your hope and keeping you afloat. He comes like a tidal wave and washes endless possibilities and love over you.

He comes like a hurricane with torrential rains that use pressure to wash away every ounce of debris, pain and suffering. He holds the master set of keys to everything and He is the anchor that holds anything He wants to hold.

So be bold with your life because He is caring for your life. Celebrate your weaknesses–when you are humble, you are Powerful! ~Nicole

“Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses; so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Cor. 12:9
