Chores, errands, running around.
Company party, office party, neighbors party, church party, family gatherings and an endless list of this and that. It’s the most wonderful time of the year and maybe the most exhausting or depressing time of the year for many.

How ever important it is to keep the main thing the main thing.

Has this list described you?
Has the fanfare, the party air, the festive lights and tantalizing treats distracted you or overwhelmed you in any way? Or maybe you’ve not been invited to a party, not a single one, no one remembered to send you a card or you are deeply missing someone you loved. Whether your sick in your body or fighting with your spouse, wayward children or a leaking roof on your house. Remain…

Quiet as a mouse.

Take a few moments, quiet ones, all to yourself.
If you have to wake up a bit earlier for that slice of quiet I hold so dear.
Morning may be best when you’ve had even the wee-est amount of rest.
Take a moment to drink Him in. Who?
That baby, that’s who.

He was born for you.
Just gaze at that face and imagine his embrace.

His Spirit descends down, he’s not overly dignified despite his enormous crown…Sovereign of all Eternity.
He stoops down.
He gathers low.
He whispers to your sweet spirit, heart and soul.

“You are adored”.

Light of the world.

Before the angels sang, while Mary still had sweat dripping from her face, a babe was born to Light the world and most of all, to Aluminate Hope for you.

Let His Beauty Come.
Let His Gentle Grace Cascade with glory over your face—
Just like the finger tips of the one you kiss.
His soul kisses you.
His heart marries you.
And all of this…

First began small and from a place of humble beginning, lonely nights created with danger…that sweet little boy lying in a manger.

He did it all for you.
Drink deep of His Cup.

May this day and this Holiday Season be magnificent for you.
May the dew of Heaven wet your brow with a kiss of the Holy Spirit and may you enter into His Rest and Comfort as never before.

You are adored.

Reborn🌹

Never Had a Better Friend

The Lord has striped me in many ways.

Yet, He preserves each and every one of my days.

He took away so much that mattered to me

and in the process grafted me more tightly into His Tree.

He drew me near and showered me with blessings from above.

He gave me increase in my capacity to Love.

He showed me His devotion and care

Yet I know He will not only stop there.

He took me as a seed and planted me in the Earth.

He provided the water of Salvation in Jesus

giving me second birth.

He rose from the grave and captured my soul.

So who am I to complain or be afraid of any foe?

He crowned me with splendor and His Grace crowns my head.

He asked me to walk this earth in an effort to revive the dead.

So many are abandoned and left without Hope.

Without Jesus they are left with no strength to cope.

They turn to drugs, violence, suicide and sin

Never gaining the purity of heart that can free them from within.

Who am I to complain when troubles cross my path?

For I have access to the very Throne of the One giving me life that will last.

Blessed Jesus, my Savior, Companion, my Friend

Who could turn from you, ignoring the battle within?

There is a day to day struggle that occurs

With in the hearts of all men.

Without Jesus, we are doomed to failure

in a battle that has no end.

Seek Jesus, the Savior, a Friend to all man.

Only He can take a shattered life, put it back together

And make it whole once again.

Seek, Jesus, the Savior, who was crucified and rose again.

He knows of your suffering, your loneliness and can take it from you, putting your misery to end.

Seek Jesus! Seek Jesus! I have never known another to be such a great Friend.

“How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You
To dwell in Your courts.
We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house,
Your holy temple.” Psalm 65:4

You are exceptional.
God knew why he picked you all along. You have a style and way all your own. You are needed, right here, right now. You have much to offer. You are loved, cherished and greatly esteemed. But God knew all of this when He created you.

So, cheers to you today! Be a wave of intentional blessing. Let everything you do, pursue, achieve, be done without a hint of murmuring…

Let it flow from the soul.

You are an inspiration of grace, you are luminous with hope and those who embrace the atmosphere around you are infused as well by vehicle of your heart and soul, mind and spirit. Believe it! ~Nicole

Sing…

God is so insightful. He sees all. He knows all. He cares for all. He is like a vault, trusted, safe, a sure place of security to all we hold precious. So why do you not rest your investments with Him?

Everything you endure in life will prove to turn your sigh into a song. It will not only make you strong and infuse your own hope and resilient ability to cope with a number of adversities, it will do so for others. Every life experience has the ability to turn someone else’s sigh into a song.

It IS possible to cast your every care on Him. It IS possible to see His hand in everything. It IS POSSIBLE to rest and relax in peace in the midst of pressure. Once you find this place of tranquility it is like your own island by a stream. Quiet. Beautiful. Warm. Inviting.

People travel the globe looking for a place to rest and refresh. But a troubled soul won’t find rest no matter where it goes. Make His heart your home. He will cradle your soul like a hammock. He will quench your fears and dry your tears. His is a beautiful Oasis. In this place of rest the only sighing you’ll be doing are ones of relief within a heart that is content. Blessed.

When you learn to trust God fully, seeing His hand in everything, He will change your sigh into a song.

Real Power

Posted in Devotional, true story, Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , at 7:16 am by Broken & Brave

The woman entered her car, only to find herself at gunpoint. The end of the gun had a man preparing to rape her. She pleaded with the man not to do this horrible thing. He cursed her and told her to shut up. She continued to plead with him telling him God loved him and would forgive him. He told her if she wasn’t quiet when he was finished he’d cut her into little pieces. She then, calmly looked the man in the eyes and said, “Then every piece of me will love you and forgive you.” The man sat back, bewildered by her statement. Then he released her and fled from her car. Neither raping her nor harming her at all.

This is a true story I heard many years ago from the woman’s perspective. It pierced me to the core. Could I love someone like that? I felt God challenge me to pursue that kind of grace. That’s how it is with God’s love. When we choose to love those we should hate, it has the power to heal brokenness, bind wounds and deliver the broken hearted. Though this story and extreme, but true, example… Imagine what the power to forgive can do.

That’s how it is with God’s Love….that’s what real power look like. -Nicole
