Shake It Out!

Posted in Inspirational, Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , , , , , , , at 5:54 am by Broken & Brave

Nothing is forever. Change comes to us all. You don’t have to listen to the idle chatter—even when it’s coming from between your own two ears.

When something is the matter look up.

Because doubt looks down

and worry looks around.

When we keep our gaze fully where it needs to be it doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing.

You must do what is best for you.

What is it you need?

What is it your family needs?

How will you intercede?

Wash away fear, doubt and worry. Make it flee in a hurry. A few months back I enjoyed a tour of the Middle East, Israel in particular. While there I received the honor of being baptized in the Jordan River. A highlight of the trip for me.

As I dipped in the Jordan the chill of the crisp waters struck my heart, my chest. I gasped for deep breath. At first it left me breathless and hoping I’d overcome. It was cold. But refreshing of heart, mind and soul.

When our heart is truly captivated by Christ, He holds our gaze despite what is going on around us. Whether it is good or bad, He is the Center.

So even when life sends us a shocking chill, a properly aligned heart will get a thrill in seeing what God will do through it all. We will anticipate with Joy how God will make it all shake out.

Last week my husband and I received news that shook us to the root. But our Peace never waivered an ounce. In fact, it increased. And in the aftermath we are receiving calls from people nationwide telling us how unique, things John and I have spoken prophetically since the very early 2000’s is coming to pass, but in the most unexpected way! We’ve been waiting for this moment, but had no idea the shape the promise would take.

Sometimes the fulfillment of a promised dream from God will require the death of a dream. It’s a type and shadow of Christ for modern day. God lets it die (or nearly come to its end—could be a relationship, a business, a church or organization). But oh how glorious the resurrection.

Mine is a God of the Blood Covenant.

God doesn’t do things the way man does them. He is far more interesting than us.

God doesn’t think like a man thinks.

Hs mind far more complex with intellect than that.

God doesn’t do as we would do.

He’s a much better planner than we are.

God sees the forecast for all of eternity. He always plans accordingly.

But my God is so enormously kind.

My God displays unmatchable kindness!

Despite all things, there is a Super-Natural King who is enthralled with your Beauty. There isn’t always a right or wrong answer. God will guide the matters of life you need to decide. Look up… I actually believe the best is yet to breath.

So inhale, deeply….

“…For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

1 Samuel 16:7

Prayer over you~

Thank you, Lord. Your kindness is the reason I’m a believer. You have always tucked yourself deep within my heart. And when I am away or distracted, I can feel your gaze on my soul, communicating to me that when I am gone you miss me. When you are gone, Beloved, the God of all Eternity misses you.

Though you are not like us Lord, you are like us. We are created in your image. Thank you that you are too wonderful to exalt yourself in such a way we can’t draw near. You, despite your grandeur, stoop down and pull close to hear the considerate prayers of your people. We lift up the prayers of all reading this. They each have an individual assignment on earth and they have troubles to. Guide their path. Give them eyes that see your plans more clearly. Give them ears that hear purely. Help them to realign the way they perceive, receive and communicate with their Maker. You are the God of Intimacy. Create in all of us a deep hunger for Truth. And may we never be satisfied with any form of a lie. Sometimes a lie is nothing more than a mind that rationalizes it’s choices. Lord, use your voice. Be our choice. Speak Peace to your people. By the Lamb’s Blood, it’s done! Amen.

Big, Bright and Beautiful

Posted in true story tagged , , , at 1:42 pm by Broken & Brave

Dream for bigger.

Believe for bigger.

Know that God made you for bigger.

Nobody else’s blessing is greater than yours. Why? Because it’s yours. That alone makes it special.

It’s my prayer that you might realize your dreams and I might share the joy of invigorating your tenacity to step out and employ every opportunity to live your best life. If you do it right, you will be blessing and helping others along the way. Sometimes the best way to helping others is to understand that your story and your life truly is not yours, but the Lords. And your story is a gift to the rest of us. As my story may be a gift to someone too.

Here’s what I know…we must earn a living. All of us, well most of us, we earn wages to sustain our lifestyle, to provide for the ones we love, to create income.

Though we must earn a living, we must create a life.

Life is a beautiful gift-but what we do with it creates, if we are willing and purposeful, a glorious life that shines and takes the gift to another level. The best gifts are the ones you can share. This is the story that becomes our duty to share.

Our life, our love, our story is meant to inspire and captivate a level of love in others that will only raise them higher.

Your dreams are worth it just like YOU!

Living some dreams right now. I wanted to take a few moments and talk about a little excursion I’m taking with Coach (my husband). I’m currently on a trip to Israel. We flew out of San Francisco last night, traveled all night and am currently laying over in London.

Last summer I wouldn’t have known I was going to go to Israel right now. It’s a place I’ve always known I would one day visit. It felt like Providence. God foreknew and designed in the script of my life this day, this hour, this place, time and space and he even penned the people I get to do it with. I’ve always known this inside—I would go. But it wasn’t until the fall that I felt the Lord stir my soul and suggest with His Sovereign Authority, “It’s time”. He orchestrated the entire trip.

So right now I’m on layover in London and thought I’d sit and write a bit. Nothing overly exciting yet—but I am so enjoying myself, my church family, the people.

We are just enjoying a talk with our server at dinner, Jabin, who is from Pokhara, Nepal. He is showing us pictures of his home city. It’s lovely. A beautiful lake and backs up to the Himalayan Mountains Scape. He was kind enough to share his photos with me so I could share the beauty.

Can you imagine having such a breathtaking nature view outside your windows every day? Marvelous!

People are lovely.

This world is a glorious Cup of Humanity and though we may not all look the same, believe the same or talk and live the same—we are still one, all of us.

Cheers! Have a gorgeous day wherever you lay your head. Dream big beautiful dreams and allow your heart to soar…Heaven twinkles down those stars as if to cause the night sky to smile at you.

Bountiful Treasure

Posted in Inspirational, Prayer of blessing tagged , , , , , , at 9:42 am by Broken & Brave

Bountiful 🎉

The Touch of your hand makes me glow.
The Touch of your hand makes me whole.

You, alone, satisfy the soul.

You are not a far off or dusty wasteland.
You drench me is Goodness.
You quiet my soul.
I am never left forlorn when I know your will and way is to walk beside me, O, Ancient of Days.

You satisfy me.

You curb my appetite for lesser things.

What a Joy and delight to know that as this New Year rings you are there to carry me across the threshold from the old to the new…just as a Groom who carries his Bride.
You are always by my side.

This alone helps me to know that I am completely blessed.
My heart and soul are at rest for the bounty of treasure your heart contains for me.

I can feel how much you adore me.

….I am so blessed.♥️

Delivered

I have five children, but was only able to deliver the first one naturally. My second child I was enduced having not gone into labor on my own so a petosin drip line was given to me and then the doctor said, “let’s wait and see”.

Many hours later I should have been ready to deliver, all the signs lined up and I was “ready”. But something wasn’t right.
My son had trouble getting in the correct position to deliver the entire pregnancy. At one point during the last trimester of my pregnancy with him he got stuck in my hips. Cranium in one girdle and tailbone in the other. Once a babe gets in this position they get stuck and a technique called Aversion is usually used (and very painful, the doctor basically leans on you with their whole body and hands and kneads your belly like pizza dough.  You have to sign all kinds of waiver papers before the doctor performa the procedure).
We prayed and prayed and the day for the procedure the sonogram showed he had miraculously moved during the night. My doctor, in fact, testified it was a miracle and that she had only seen this condition so rare in a textbook. Never had a patient with the condition.
     Prayer works.
aa24c237-ed3a-432c-aca8-d2ed2d3360b1
But on Labor Day he just wouldn’t come out so an emergency cesarean was required.
After delivery my doctor told me that once she saw my insides it was also a miracle I was able to naturally deliver my oldest. Apparently my hips are so narrow and a baby’s head too big to fit. I was sad to have my belly sliced, but rejoices for the gift of technology that saved my child’s life!
I’ve had many children, I’ve been blessed with a full quiver. I don’t know how this tiny body did it, but it happened.
I think without the Lord I would have not had so many children. I would’ve been too afraid to parent. I like things quiet and orderly. I’d worry too much.
I knew I’d have children always, but maybe only one?
I was always leery of both marriage and children. But at the time I didn’t know I was. I just thought I was different from girls I knew. They talked about those things a lot. I never talked about them. I knew I’d get married. I knew I’d have kids, but I wasn’t in a hurry. It wasn’t my focus. So when I married before my best friend she just looked at me and said, “your kidding”. She was happy for me, just surprised because she knew me. I didn’t want to marry until I was at least 30. I wanted to finish graduate school and begin planting roots for my career. I don’t think I’m overly business ambitious. I just wasn’t in a hurry.
Doesn’t God know us better than anyone? He knew my heart. He knew I was ambilivent toward both these things, marriage and children, and He knew why. So He took his time. He touched my soul. He mended my broken places. He softened the callousy regions of my heart and maybe even some hard edges.
He smoothed me as He soothed me.
I think I spent most of my young life “indifferent”. Got along with everyone, liked people, but could take or leave probably most anyone. That sounds crass. But when I look back now I realize it’s true. And as God healed me He expanded my capacity to receive and I began to see with new eyes…there’s a lot of others in the world that do this too.
The human heart has an incredible way of protecting itself. Emotions can inflict just as much anguish as physical trauma. So the mind subconsciously sears the heart disconnecting it from the mind. Compassion dulls. Empathy diminishes. Relationships contain less depth than in societies past. An entire society, country, of wounded, hurting and aloof people. I’m afraid this is what America has overall become.
IMG_2135
God sees your insides just like my physician literally saw mine.
What is your life destined to birth? Are there things I have said that you relate too a bit or maybe the Holy Spirit is convicting you with it? Embrace it. God is seeking to deliver your heart and spirit from things that subconsciously hold you back from your full inheritance.
God designed you and formed you in your Mother’s womb. He hand picked your family, good experience or bad experience, it’s true. You needed the special DNA they gave to you, your ancestors, too. God looks at your life and sees an entire road map with all the peeks and valleys, bumps and obstacles. He is using and navigating you through it all. Release control to the One who controls it all. Ask Him to waken your heart and mind to the things He wants to put inside you. You’ve got a calling. Big or small God needs it all. He needs us all. And He longs to see you happy.
Let this be a day He births something big, bright and beautiful in you.
IMG_9959
You life is beautiful.
You matter.
You make an impactful difference every day.
You are loved.
You are noticed.
Others see the goodness of your heart.
You were made to go the extra mile and God has others who will go with you, too.
You are not alone.
You are not alone.
You are not alone.
Go with God. Make something BIG!
Nicole🍓
In peace I will lie down and sleep,
    for you alone, Lord,
    make me dwell in safety.

Mantras

My Mantra…

I’m one of those silly people who believe God has no shortage of blessings. He has plenty to go round. I know the more He blesses you, has no relevance on the blessings He has for another.

So it is, the more you are abundantly blessed, in no way diminishes anything He plans for me and vice versa.

God doesn’t really have any resource issues or privilege program. He’s quite generous, actually. He’s just amazing and awesome to everyone who wants more of HIM.

Is that you? Do you crave Him? Heart and Soul His desire is for in your eyes to be adored.

Because His nature is Pure Love—He is often known to be awesome for those who don’t desire him as well. Wrap your head and heart around that one! But this is exactly what makes Him who He is…His incredible nature and enormous capacity to be Love, give Love and be absolute and unwavering with it.

Do you have need?

Call on God.
Do you desire, but don’t ask? Ask anyway, don’t be afraid.
Feeling jealous or slighted by the blessings of another? Don’t bother! Get your head and heart UP not Down and Out!

Be happy. Know the reward He has for you. God is respecter of no man. He IS the reward, but will upon your brow lavish so much more.

Don’t be afraid, just pray!😉

Grace, Mercy and Compassion are His Mantra. I dare say it could be our mantra, too.  And when our blessings rub together~its ELECTRIC!

Big Dogs

Posted in Inspirational tagged , , , , , at 7:54 am by Broken & Brave

Ever had somebody think you were mad at them when you weren’t? It can be frustrating to convince someone who has decided in their heart and are sure of a non fact.

But don’t we all do this to God over and over again? Don’t we betray our own heart and fail to show ourselves kindness because we expect the worse case scenario to unfold?

We place our expectations of the future on our experiences of the past. What a horrible mask the enemy has dealt to corrupt God’s Good Nature all so he can boast about how God has failed or forgotten to come through for you. But God’s nature is to never become frustrated. He is calm and carries His Peace extraordinarily well. He is decided upon you.

Friends, If this resonates with your heart at all, don’t fret, stand tall, I’ve got a good word for you.

When I was a child I had a series of negative experiences with dogs, big ones. Now, I am a petite and diminutive adult so you can imagine my stature as a young girl. I was always very tiny. A large dog can be quite intimidating for anyone just in size alone. But on top of this intimidation I had experiences of them taking my food, barking at me and I was even attacked by a dog when I was 9. I still have his fangs marked as a scar on my left leg—literally. So, as you can imagine, I am not a huge fan of dogs—All dictated by my experience I’m sure. But my family loves dogs! So we have only had two in our households 24 year existence, but both were off the charts amazing creatures. I have two points with this…

1) Maybe dogs aren’t so bad and I need to get to know each dog individually?
2) God knows my experience of past and my interpretations so he hand selected gentle giants of dogs who would be able to win my heart?

I’ve always considered number 2 to be of great truth.

So what do you face in your life? What giant or obstacle or fear is ruling your choices? What is your “Big Dog”? Are you hiding in a cave as David did avoiding Gods blessings or are you putting your foot in the River Jordan like Joshua and taking the land?

God is not mad at you.
God is not out to get you.
God has not forgotten you.
God cannot change his mind about you.
You may change, but he doesn’t.
God will care for your every circumstance. He also knows what you have been through, and he will delicately care for you and escort you like a perfect gentlemen into his plans for you. You have your own personal promise land. But you must walk the dessert to get to it. Take courage. Have heart. Take risks. Think and dream bigger than you ever have before. Be willing to do the absurd and ridiculous!

God’s Love is scandalous and his grace measured generous!
Wherever you go…
Whatever you do…
He is with you.
He loves to live inside your heart.
It’s his favorite home.
You are adored.

Irresistible

Irresistible

5D5C2A7C-FE9B-47D2-A701-76C8F740D400.jpeg

You can do it.

Have you ever notice when you are attempting to do something that resonates down deep in your soul, all heaven and earth seem to begin to move against you instead of with you? It’s quite common actually. Every great thing accomplished in history was completed under tremendous duress. Especially when it was something that began to shift the way a society did something or thought about something. It’s part of what makes the story great. I think God loves a good story as much as the rest of us.

Take the parasol for example. A useful tool used to keep a woman’s face shaded and protected from the sun. The gentleman who got the brilliant idea to begin using it for an umbrella found himself under tremendous opposition to tradition in the introduction of this useful tool. In fact, it took forty years for the umbrella, as we know it and it’s usefulness today, to become socially accepted. An umbrella! Hardly an instrument to shape and shift a culture in a profound way, but look how necessary they have become.

So next time you feel discouraged, feel like quitting, considering your options to give up. Think again. Reassess. Then Press! God will go with you and provide every resource and assistance required of you to see the breakthrough. In the process, he is creating within you clean lines of a chiseled and strong character and heart. So don’t lose Heart! Today is a new day…what a fantastic start for all things extraordinary. YOU have a part.

You’ve got amazing written all over you. ~Nicole

A “Get Through” Kind of Love

Posted in Inspirational tagged , , , , , at 7:04 am by Broken & Brave

This is a re-post of something I wrote a long time ago…but how true it still remains. When love has its way, we are forever changed, for the better.

You are loved💜

IMG_3009
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

People shape their perceptions by their experiences with a mix of their temperament/personality type added in. Sometimes a difficult experience can leave an unguarded area wide open to fear. Simple example, you’re in a severe car accident and once you are back on the road you are extremely aware of the possibility of another accident. Your home is robbed and you heighten security out of fear of repeat offense. You go through a divorce and fear to remarry because you don’t want to be hurt again. You were rejected in childhood and now live with insecure thoughts that everyone is rejecting you.

God is more concerned about your outcome than your come from!

Ask Him to cleanse your filter so you can move toward your future free from your fears, pains and experiences of the past. Just because something bad happened to you in the past, doesn’t mean that same thing is going to happen to you now.

I am learning that the more people have travelled through, the more love they need in order to get through. There is nothing to fear, God has no shortage of Love. ~Nicole
